Author has written 65 stories for Justice League, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Real Adventures of Jonny Quest, Gargoyles, Sherlock Holmes, Twilight, Star Wars, Arrow, and Phantom of the Opera.
First thing to know about me: I never abandon stories, I never give up on stories. Period. I may not update in a long while, but it's always on my to-do list and I always look over what I've written so far, just to stay as fresh as I can on it and never lose sight of it.
I don't always follow canon extremely closely in any one fandom. Often I like to see how I can twist plot without deterring from major canon information. I also like to add a new spin on material and have a little fun trying things. Even if it doesn't come out exactly as I wanted, it's always good to at least have tried.
Another thing to note: I don't always label the main characters by a romantic pairing/ship. If I do, they are marked as a pair and not as individual characters. The main characters listed under any of my stories are the ones who feature most prominently or have the most important roles in the tale.
Below the line, I'll leave all of my bio updates so far. They usually have something significant about updates or changes to my profile/account.
I am also on AO3 under the username "mirqueen" and on Tumblr at mirqueen(d)tumblr(d)com
My Arrow stories are also on Tumblr at hoodsmoaked(d)tumblr(d)com
Thank you for stopping by!
It's been a very long time as usual. Life offers a lot of obstacles. Writing, sadly, has to take a back seat when those obstacles crop up. As I always love to tell my readers, I never stop working on my stories. They never leave my mind or heart - and they will never, ever be abandoned. I'm working a very full job now and priorities must be set, but I still write whatever I can, whenever I can. I have updated the summaries and formatting on my profile a little; hopefully this helps folks understand what stories are tied together and which stand on their own.
On an encouraging note, I put together a new series. A lot of people wanted more from my long-ago Harry Potter one-shot 'Fierce'. Well, it's finally a reality! I've been thinking on it ever since I published 'Fierce.' However, last year, I had a sudden brainstorm about two other stories of mine. That brainstorm culminated in the formation of a full series 'Planes of Existence' and a more solid outline for the sequel story. The first story which brought this about is "Echoes In Dust" (still in-progress), which has become an official prequel to 'Fierce.' The other story which affected this series was unpublished and unfinished; I've since dismantled that tale and integrated with the plot of the 'Fierce' sequel. More details in the list of current series - at the end of my profile.
Much love and hope you everyone! I'm doing my best and I'll see some of you again soon. :)
Happy early Valentine's Day!
Many changes over the past year or so, but as always, I'm still writing and trying to post my stories bit by bit. I'm trying something a little different now with my updates. I've started to write several chapters ahead and then only post once I feel comfortable with the continuity between them. I hate retconning the stories, it's such a messy business.
Currently I've been the most inspired to write The Light Within. Once I have that ahead of the game a little, I'll start posting new material. For A Reason: Accordance reached a definite stopping point until I can work out the London Christmas trip. For some reason, it didn't want to move itself along like the other travel chapters I've written.
Anyhow, I'm very glad to see new readers and old readers alike. Thank you for coming on a journey with me!
Many changes in my life the past several months and all of them have kept me extremely busy. As always, however, I repeat: I never give up on my stories. Still writing, still plotting, still posting, just slower on a lot of my work. For A Reason: Accordance is progressing marvelously right now, so that is my current priority. The Light Within is moving along second best, but it's still moving. Thank you to everyone who hangs on and everyone who just came on board!
I am still here, but real life has gotten in the way as usual. :) I was promoted at work after the new year and these new job duties take a lot of training. Actually, I still haven't even finished all my training. It's absolutely crazy! So I was unable to update as I hoped and am finally, finally getting back here again. Things are going slower than they were before, but they're still going. My big deals right now are The Light Within and For A Reason: Accordance (Holy Crow, we're in Part 2!). They're hogging up my brain right now, so that's where I'm focused. I won't argue when the inspiration strikes, although I wish it would strike just a little harder and faster for Damages II: Resentment, among other stories I'm mucking through in the background right now. But as I always say, I refuse to ever give up on a story. Much love to all readers, followers, and reviewers for every story! :D
Look for an update on TLW and FAR: Accordance in the month of March 2018!
Well, here we are again! I am still working on all my stories. Sometimes I write a little for one piece, sometimes I write a lot for another piece, but all my stories are still on the radar. I don't give up on stories, no matter how long they take. The Light Within is big right now - my inspiration has been killing it (in a good way!) for some reason. Cheers to all the readers who have stuck with me this long and the new readers who are just joining in! :)
Below the profile updates listed here, there is a freshly updated list of my current series.
Wow, it's been a while for me. But life gets wild and crazy (new job for me!), and when it does the fun parts of life can get dragged down. Like writing and posting here! I am still working on my big-chapter stories/series: Damages, For A Reason, Steps of Peace, The Light Within, Rousing The Lion, Remarkable Mysteries (a new Arrow piece I've been working at).
I know it's been a while since Damages II: Rosalie was updated, but it's still here if anyone has interest. It may seem amazing, but I still have inspiration and I still feel this story as strongly as when I first started it. I know where I want to get to with the story, but it's the inbetween writing that clogs me up; the "filler" bits, if you will. Seems like all my stories are at a "filler" part right now, and everything is just moving along as much as I can make it.
Thank you for the hangers-on who don't give up and for new readers entering the fray of my writing. :)
I have changed my Pen-Name from "Mara Sevvie" to "Mir Queen" to honor two of my favorite things right now: Twilight and Arrow. Mir is short for the name of my original character for a Twilight story, and Queen is representative of Oliver Queen of Arrow. Fair warning, if you like Arrow as well, I unabashedly ship OLICITY. I think Oliver and Felicity are the best fit for each other in this show and I hope they are endgame for the series. :)
