5)Some of my favorite games:
Super mario Smash Brawl: It's a pretty good fighting game.
Dragon ball Z Budokai tenkaichi 2 (PS2): another good fighting game
Breath of fire III (PS1 or PSP): A freaking RPG classic. I highly recomend
Final Fantasy Tatics (PS1 or PSP): another RPG classic. It's really good if you like the tatics type of RPG.
Neverwinter Nights (PC): It's a good adaptation of Dungeons&dragons.
Final Fantasy X (PS2): It was weird for me to get used to its leveling system, but when I got used to it, it replaced Final Fantasy 7 as my favorite Final Fantasy. In this game you can change characters during the battle and make them all evolve with one single battle.
Castelvania: Symphony of the Night (PS1): AWSOME game. The best of the Castelvania series, in my opinion.
Disgaea series (all of them): It's a very good tatics game. It's the prime example that a good game DOES NOT need to have great graphics. It provides COUNTLESS HOURS of fun, the jokes are clever and it's one of the few games that it doesn't get bored if you decide to re-play it.
Persona 2: Eternal Punishment (PS1): I know many of you might think: "Why did you cut out persona 3 and 4?" The answer for that is quite simple. The story line of personas 2, 3 and 4 (I never played Persona 1, so I can't say much) are GREAT, however Persona 2 takes the cake for just one thing: GAMEPLAY.
In persona 3 (the Fes version, the normal and I can't tell much about the psp version because I didn't play it) the gameplay is VERY limitated. Only the main character can change personas and you can't even control your other characters. I've lost the count of the thousands of turns wasted in tentarafoos, ice/fire/wind/elec breaks and the list goes on and on. Besides you're stuck with that "1 year" (in the plot) crap and it's game over if the main character dies.
In persona 4, there was a big improvement, because we could actually control the other characters. However, they kept the same "1 year" to finish the game and we again couldn't change the other characters personas. It also has the same problem of when the Main character dies, it's game over.
Granted, the personas of the other characters in Personas 3 and 4 could evolve, but it's not like they have major changes in their powers.
Persona 2 beats the crap out Personas 3 and 4 because: ALL characters can change their personas (even during battle), It's only game over if ALL your characters die, you can make fusion spells with ALL your characters (and they don't need to have especific personas to do so, just the right skills), you're not bounded to that 1 year (plotwise) to end the game, it has more elemental magic (water, earth and nuclear are added) and the list goes on and on.
I'm not going to discuss the plot, because I liked the plot of the three of them.
Phantom Brave (PS2 and Wii): I recomend the wii version because of the "Another Marona" storyline. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the disgaea series. Heck, even my avatar is from my favorite character of Disgaea 1, Lamington Seraph! The thing is that Phantom Brave has a KICK-ASS storyline (for those who like some angsty, drama, heartwarming moments and few jokes) and is superior to the Disgaea series, IMO. If you decide to play the steam version, I recomend you play the Another Marona storyline first, because, when you finish it, you can bring ALL your characters (even charcaters that you could never obtain if you play the main story first, such as Raphael, Walnut and Sprout!) to the main plot.
Lenin the lion: a very interesting game that deals with themes like depression and friendship
Undertale: The story about a human going to an underground area and meets several monsters.
