Plenty of people get dragged into situations they really don't want to be in by ROBs, but very few get chosen by ROB's for more than basic amusement. I was unlucky enough to be one of them. Now I'm in Worm with a mission to save the world. Unfortunately, raw power isn't what works around here.

Taylor gains powers in the locker; this much is familiar. But the power she gets, and what she does with it, begins to change things around considerably. Faced with the pressure of the power she has, and official apathy, she must make her own decisions, and take a different route to achieve her goals. There will be trouble.

Not every problem can be solved by stabbing it repeatedly. In which Taylor has a different power, because she is a different person, and the consequences therein.

Throughout history, understanding has been the key failing which causes all conflict. Some philosophers dictate that the next step forward in human evolution is to reach a stage where humankind can share thoughts and ideas without the need for language. A young parahuman triggers with the ability to put that theory to the test, turning Brockton Bay into a live testing ground.

Taylor Hebert wakes up in a tank in an unfamiliar building surrounded by unfamiliar people. She quickly discovers that something is very wrong. Something alien has been unleashed upon Brockton Bay. But this hidden threat is not the only thing the Bay has to worry about. These creatures are not the only ones that have come to prey upon the people.

The world first saw Harry Bailey in a photo kneeling on a road before the Endbringer the Simurgh. The Simurgh's psychic scream drove entire cities mad. In Harry, it woke something else entirely. Another weird idea I had while mulling over ideas for Taylor Varga which didn't quite fit in that story. Not exactly funny, it's rather more dark than I normally write. Sort of a horror story, mostly by implication. Only a short quick one-shot but it's not impossible I may revisit this one day. There's scope for more.

Several years before canon Worm, a thief with bad luck buys powers from Cauldron and gets more than he bargained for. He meets Mouse Protector, and they hit it off. Eventually, the two uncover the secret of Simurgh's nature, and all hell breaks loose.

The QA shard decides to give Taylor control over something a bit more powerful than mere bugs.

In an alternate universe, Taylor Hebert triggers with the powerset of a Bard, and begins her quest to create a better Brockton Bay. Slight crossover elements with Dungeons and Dragons (5th edition), but no knowledge necessary.

Summary: Brockton Bay has an amazingly temperate climate. But sometimes, winter storms come through anyways. Because of this, Taylor was left in the locker for much longer, with far reaching consequences. Disclaimer: I own nothing. Worm belongs to Wildbow. We just get to play in this universe. It is fanfiction, thus is by definition AU. All changes are for my entertainment.
