Note 1: I have not written any HP fanfiction, but I do read a tremendous amount of it. Check out my Favorites and my C2. http://www.fanfiction.net/community/The_Residents_favorite_COMPLETED_HP_Fics/22176/I am sure you will find something you like. Note 2: I found this on DrgnMstr's ffn profile and find a lot of sense in it. I'm Sorry: I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry But most of all I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm Sorry I'm sorry Ladies always complain and gripe to their friends that there is never any good guys out there, and they always end up with assholes who mistreat them. Well ladies, next time you're complaining, maybe look up to see who you're complaining to, maybe that special someone is right there hanging on your every word as usual, screaming in his head "Why won't you give me a chance?" If you're a guy and you agree with this letter, copy and paste into your profile as 'I'm sorry' If You're one of the FEW girls with enough BALLS to copy and paste this into your profile, and you would never make your guy feel this way, copy and paste into your profile as 'Girls Don't Realize These Things' Note 3: I apologize if anyone is offended by the following rant. ATTENTION: This is not meant to be a flame against any one individual.. This is my opinion concerning one special type of story. It is aimed at the authors of said story type in general including the 'founder of the feast' JKR. Now, on with my opinion... Let's just pile on the angst with a side of angst salad and some angst soup and for desert, we'll have angst pie. How much c--p does Harry have to go through before he can have a happy ending. Or do you even plan one. Is your life so bad that you have to see someone else in a worse position? I don't know what it is that drives people to write angst to this degree. I thought JKR was bad. She's put Harry through enough hell that it could be rationed out though the entire population of Great Britain and everyone of them would feel bad. Do people who read and praise angsty stories get off on someone being in a worse position than themselves? Personally, I would rather read light happy stories. The old time fairy tales where the good guy wins and the bad guy gets the c--p beat out of him. I just don't understand how someone/anyone can enjoy reading about the good guy going through hell. I like to see the good guy overcome adversity as much as the next guy, but the good guy shouldn't have to suffer through 1001 torments and then get one good thing happen to him at the end of the story. Sure, real life may be like that, but does that mean it has to reflect that in our fiction? Any and all comments are welcome. |
