I'm normally not the type who gets upset over little things but somehow, this one little review left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I wasn't aware that I sounded desperate for any reviews or that I was wheedling for people to feel sorry for me and leave more comments. But if it did come across as that, then I apologize because I never intended to do so. But honestly, it's rather insulting to have someone say that I leave self-indulgent messages simply because I felt a little sad that the number of hits don't match the amount of reviews (and why should I be dictated on what I say in my author's notes, anyway? At least I do not go and threaten never to update if my review quota isn't filled!). Of course I know that I'm lucky people read what I write and of course I am very happy that they do. Did I ever say I wasn't? I'm very, very grateful to those who read and like my stories. They're one half of the reason why I write. And I really dislike the way this reviewer ended the comment, feeling confident that I'd be apprehensive instead of being offended.

I don't mean to unload this here, or ever, actually, but it really rankled. Look out for new oneshots from me and hopefully my muse doesn't wither away.
