I'll keep this one short and sweet. I've been thinking lately that perhaps it might be best for my creative process if I get a beta-reader or two. I'm fairly good at self-editing and such and my chapters aren't very long compared to others, but I feel that perhaps I'd best serve anybody who likes my stuff by finding someone willing to have ideas bounced off their head and maybe point out the worst of my mistakes to me.
It's just a thought. If anybody's interested, great! If not, I'll continue to just review my work myself and ignore all my flaws. (there are so many flaws
I have no idea where I'd start looking for such a person, so it's open season. Like my work and want to read it early and get a better idea how I work? Great!
The only thing I ask is that if you're going to apply, you have at least one story published so I can see what your own work is like. Also, although I like to update when I'm finished a chapter, I understand you're not my grammar monkey and you're not at my beck and call. Still, that said, it'd be awesome if it took less than a week to get feedback if I do write something so it'd be nice to get people who are on the site more than once a month.

So... Yeah. I'm updating again, though I know it probably makes people pout that I'm ignoring all my Ranma stuff in favour of a single Final Fantasy Tactics story. I wish I could say I felt bad, but this story has been thoroughly engaging to write.
Though wow, it's really been eight months since my last profile update? More importantly, two years since I updated Forcibly United and four years since I've updated Ripples of a Chaotic Pebble and Echoes of the Past? That's a ridiculous time frame to wait. That's, like, Krista Perry or Mark MacKinnon levels of update delay.
I've said before that none of my other works are abandoned. I'll jump back into writing my other stuff sooner or later, I promise. At this rate, it'll likely be when I finish off For Want of a War, because frankly speaking none of my other stuff came to me as easily as this does. Even Forcibly United, as much fun as I remember having while writing that, would frequently give me pauses outside of the combat.
FWoaW, on the other hand, is just flowing right now, even when I have to do the plot-heavy stuff. I wrote Chapter 19 in the span of about two or three hours, editing time included. I think I'd like to keep the momentum up.
However, so that not all is lost... I've got my yearly Christmas vacation coming up between December 20th and January 2nd. I'm not promising anything, but I'll see if I can't finish off the current arc for Forcibly United during that time so that everyone who likes it isn't stuck in the middle of a cliffhanger. Maybe jump into Echoes and Ripples and do a bit of work with them too, just to get them up to a 'good' stopping point instead of leaving them where they are while I work on finishing For Want of a War.

On a whim, I decided I was in the mood for a funny, completed Naruto story which was at least 100,000 words long. I wasn't being terribly picky. I didn't want to read about Original Character romances that were "funny", or Alternate Universe situations, or about boy-on-boy pairings. I thought I would have an easy time finding something to read given the boggling volume of Naruto stories. I thought wrong. Follow me on my journey into madness as I take a look at every Naruto story labeled humor on fanfiction.net, and cry with me as I fail to find the funny.
