I write fic to stretch the ol' writing muscles and apply the techniques I get right to my original fiction. If you want to know a little more about me, read on. Do you think ewes have their lambs on a 9-5 schedule? I'm here to tell you they do not.) Writing: I like to write fic for a couple of reasons. One, I think its a great way to sharpen your writing if you want to write OG fiction for publication. Reviews and comments are a great way to get instant feedback on your work. Two, you don't need to character or world build when writing fic - people already know the crew and the setting for the most part which frees you up for hella fun storytelling shenanigans. Three, if you procrastinate writing your OG fiction with other writing... well, you're still flexing the writing muscle. Philosophy: Everyone has their own unique way to do their thing.
