Shield Hero Legendary Weapon Functions Universal [Unlock Form] – A Legendary Weapon can absorb materials into it. If the material can be used to unlock a new form it will do so. If not, the material will be stored in the Item Box. The time required to unlock a new form is dependent on the material used and the number of forms the weapon has already unlocked. As more forms are unlocked, it can unlock new forms faster. [Item Box] – The Legendary Weapons have a subspace to keep unused materials. [Drop Item] – When a monster is killed and absorbed by the Legendary Weapon, in whole or in part, the Legendary Weapon will generate a drop item [Recipe Synthesis] – A Legendary Weapon can unlock recipes for cooking, potion making, smiting, etc, through mastery of certain weapon forms. After the recipe has been unlocked, the Legendary Weapon can craft, cook, smith, etc. the corresponding item. The quality is always Normal, regardless of the quality of the materials put in. [Weapon Copy] – Weapons of the same category as Legendary Weapon can be copied into said Legendary Weapon without consuming the original copy. [Weapon Mastery] – Weapon forms can be mastered through use, repeatedly absorbing more copies of the unlock material, or by simply having the weapon equipped long enough outside of battle. Once the form is Mastered, the Hero gains the weapon form's Equipment Bonuses, even with the form is not equipped. [Equipment Bonuses] – Equipment Bonuses are bonuses that come from individual weapon forms and can be mastered to make permanent. Legendary Sword [Level Link] - As the Hero Levels up, all weapon forms will grow stronger alongside them. With every Level up 0,5 will be added to a weapon form's Attack or Defence rating. [Weapon Proficiency] – Weapon Proficiency is a gauge that fills up and runs concurrent with the time spent Mastering a weapon. The gauge for Weapon Proficiency goes up to 100 for each weapon form, and can be reset to gain Energy. [Awaken Weapon] – Once a weapon form is Mastered, it can be Awakened by consuming Energy gained from [Weapon Proficiency] in order to provide even greater Equipment Bonuses and enhance Special Abilities. Numerical Equipment Bonuses will be increased by 50%. Nonnumerical Equipment Bonuses and Special Abilities increase by one grade (Poison Resistance (small) becomes Poison Resistance (medium). Awakening weapon forms might also reveal previously hidden abilities. [Upgrade] – A weapon form that has been Awakened can be Upgraded by consuming more Energy gained from [Weapon Proficiency]. Any item in the Legendary Weapon's Item Box can also be turned into Energy. There is only percent chance of success with each attempt and each form can only have up to 5 successes. Each success increases the Base Stats of the weapon form by 20% (additive stacking). Each successive upgrade will increase a weapon form's Rarity. First the weapon form will gain the Common Rarity, then Uncommon, then Rare, then Super Rare, and then Artifact. Legendary Spear [Weapon Familiarity] - A weapon form becomes stronger through continued use. This is a gauge that can at least go from 0 to 10 and adds 2 to the Attack or Defence rating with every level reached on the gauge, but can go much higher depending on the weapon form. [Weapon Enchantment] – A weapon form can be enhanced by using [Soul Fragments] gathered from enemies absorbed into the Legendary Weapon. An enhanced weapon form gains damage/damage-reduction against the enemy type the weapon form is specialized for. These bonuses will be different depending on the level of specialization of the weapon. As the Level of enchantment gets higher, it becomes more and more expensive. [Weapon Tempering] – A weapon form can be made stronger with the use of certain ores. Each weapon form has only a single kind of ore that will increase its Tempering Level. The more powerful the weapon form, the more ore needs to be infused before its Tempering Level increases. There is no limit how many times a weapon form's Tempering Level can be increased. There is, however, a percent chance of failure, and if the process fails, all previous Tempering Levels will be lost. Weapon Tempering will give 1 to the Base Attack or the Base Defence with each Tempering Level. [Status Enchantment] – A weapon form can be Enchanted by infusing them with certain materials in order to add special properties, depending on the material used. Rare and more magically potent materials may give higher bonuses. If you use a new Enchantment, it will overwrite the old one. Legendary Bow [Rarity Power] – this quantification of rarity is a wholly separate category of rarity than the one used in the [Upgrade] Strengthening Method. The rarer a weapon form is, the stronger it is. A weapon form made from rarer materials will be stronger than a weapon form of equal quality but more common materials. This rarity is quantified in a sliding scale from E to S, with each level giving 10 in either Attack or Defence. [Reinforce Weapon] – does basically the same thing as Weapon Tempering, but instead of ores it required infusing a weapon form with money, minerals or gems to raise its base Defence or Attack. In addition, unlike Weapon Tempering, there was no chance of failure and there was a set amount that a weapon form can be Reinforced by. Said set amount differs between Weapon Forms. [Item Enchantment] – allows a Hero to place a randomized Enchantment on a weapon form by converting items in his Inventory into energy and applying it to a chosen Weapon Form. Unfortunately, this method had a percent chance of failure, and if it failed, the Enchantment Level would fall back to zero. [Jobs] - Instead of strengthening the Legendary Shield or Skills, it instead buffs yourself and your allies. Jobs were 'bought' with monster body parts, and could then be upgraded once per day by infusing more and more materials per upgrade. Each Job increased Stats in related fields, and comes with 'perks' that were unlocked at every ten Levels of a Job. Perks like a new ability or skill. Legendary Shield [Trust] – By placing their trust in others and by being trusted in return, the Hero and the one they trust gain strength. By being trusted in turn, the Hero is further strengthened. This is a flat 2% increase in Stats across the board for the Hero and the people he places his trust in. For the Hero, the bonuses gained by being trusted stack, while the same doesn't hold true for others. [Sharing and Understanding] – By sharing and understanding Strengthening Methods between Heroes, their efficacy increases. In other words, if you share and understand Strengthening Methods with other Heroes, they work better. For example: the percent chance of failure with the Upgrade Strengthening Method of the Legendary Sword will decrease. Or the bonuses a Hero can gain from Weapon Enchantment, a Strengthening Method of the Legendary Spear, will increase for less cost in Soul Fragments. [Energy Boost] – This allows a Hero to raise the efficacy of their Skills, magic, and even their regular attacks by mixing in their Life Force. [Fourth method – unknown] Seven Star Staff Weapon [Magic Rank] - As a Hero Levels up, they gain points to upgrade magic spells, boosting their efficacy. The upgraded spells have numerals applied to them, from I to X, depending on how many points are added. An un-upgraded spell has no numeral. Once applied, there is a cooldown of 24 hours, after which the option to remove the points becomes available, where they can be reallocated to other spells, reverted the spells they were taken from back to their normal power. The point cost to upgrade a spell varies depending on the spell's power, and different tiers of the same spell are considered different spells and thus would be upgraded separately. Seven Star Carriage Weapon [Monster Encyclopedia] - Grants a Hero a variety of Stat bonuses dependent on the materials stored within the Legendary Weapon. In addition, completing a monster's drop list will provide additional bonuses. Sword and Shield Characters: Known Powers Iwatani Naofumi Skills Air Strike Shield – Creates an ethereal shield that can be used to defend. Second Shield – Creates a second ethereal shield that can be used to defend. Dritte Shield – Creates a third ethereal shield that can be used to defend. Change Shield - A Skill that changes an Air Strike Shield to any other type of shield the Hero might possess, imparting the abilities of the chosen shield to the Air Strike Shield. Shield Prison – Spawns an overlapping series of shields in a sphere that can be used to imprison an opponent or can be used to defend the user or his allies Toxic Spikes – Makes the ground around the user poisonous. This Skill acts like a curse, poisoning anyone who steps on the effected ground, while leaving the user and their party unaffected. Electric Terrain – Charges the ground around the user with static electricity. Any enemy that steps upon this ground has a percent chance of being Paralyzed. The longer the enemy remains in the area of effect, the bigger the chance of being Paralyzed becomes. Lightning based attacks will be strengthened while the Electric Terrain is up. Cover Move - A movement Skill that will instantly translocate the Hero to put him in an ideal position to defend a preselected party member. If the Hero's Defence is overcome, damage taken will be tripled. This Skill can only be used up to three times a day. Meteor Shield – A defensive barrier made out of light encloses the Hero. Only the Hero himself, his party members and their attacks can freely pass through the barrier. Hate Reaction – An aura that attracts the attention of monsters. Medicine Efficacy Up (small) – Increases the efficacy of medicine administered by the Hero by a small amount. Medicine Efficacy Up (medium) – Increases the efficacy of medicine administered by the Hero by a medium amount. Medicine Effect Range Expansion (small) – Expands the range of effect of a potion/medicine by a small amount. By stabbing one’s own or another shadow, one can manifest a shadow replica of one’s blade in an another shadow, which shoots out from said shadow and is an excellent sneak attack. Shadow Sneak Blade Rush - A shadow magic based Applied Sword Magic spell and an upgraded version of the Shadow Sneak Blade technique. By stabbing one’s own or another shadow, one can manifest multiple shadow replicas of one’s blade in an another shadow (can be either single or multi target), which shoots out from said shadow and is an excellent sneak attack. Shadow Bind Blade – A shadow magic based Applied Sword Magic spell. By stabbing one’s sword in the shadow of an opponent, one can bind the opponent’s shadow and keep them from moving. There is a short range and a long range variant. The short range variant can immobilize a target as long as magical energy is supplied, while the long range variant can only bind an opponent’s shadow and movements for a brief moment. Hidden Light Slash – A light magic based Applied Sword Magic spell. It releases a crescent of cutting light in whichever direction the user had swung. Piercing Light Thrust – A light magic based Applied Sword Magic spell. It’s a simple thrust of the blade with light magic infused into it, heating up the blade and increasing both its attack and cutting power. Light Swords - A light magic based Applied Sword Magic spell. Creates corporeal swords of light by infusing afterimages with light magic that are then launched at the target. Flashbang - A light magic based Applied Sword Magic spell. Light magic is stored in a blade at a specific frequency. Once the sword is swung and makes contact with something, be that another sword or anything else, the light magic will be released all at once, causing an explosion of blinding light and shrill noise that is meant to blind and disorient any opponents. Heavenrend - A light magic based Applied Sword Magic spell unique to Shirou. Having Divinity is a requirement to use this spell. Moreover, unlike most other Applied Sword Magic spells, it requires a chant in order to use it. It's, in simple terms, a spell that manifests a mass of bright golden Holy Light, with a blade as the focus, that can be molded in whatever shape the user might desire. It can take the shape of a straight beam, a cutting crescent, or even a massive sword that follows the movements of the user's sword swings. As such, it's a highly flexible attack that can be used both at short range or long range, depending on what form the user wants the Holy Light to take. However, the focus and energy required is massive, and without extensive training, but a single use of this technique is liable to exhaust the user both mentally and physically. Blade Breaker - A non elemental Applied Sword Magic spell. The user's sword is infused with magical energy that on the moment of impact will surge into the opponent's blade, find the inherent faults, the 'holes' one can find in the structure of everything. By oversaturating those 'holes' with magical energy, the sheer stresses from within would shatter the opponent's blade in less than a second. It is, in essence, a weaponized Reinforcement spell. This technique needs a few moments of setup, and can be executed with either one's feet or fists. Peerless Activity - By continually using Life Force throughout the body, one can massively raise one's Stats across the board. It's a fairly simple technique, but one's level of mastery of this technique is measured by how long one can mantain the technique before being left unable to maintain it. Once someone reaches the limit and Peerles Activity comes to an end, they will be left exhausted. It travels over the ground, and like the name implies, chains from target to target, giving this spell a massive range as well as massive damage output. Those hit have a percent chance of being paralyzed. Dritte Paralyzing Thunder - A powerful third tier lightning spell. Has a short range and can only be used with physical contact. However, unless the target has some kind of resistance against being paralyzed, is guaranteed to paralyze the target for at least a minute. Dritte Lightning Rain - A powerful third tier lightning spell. Creates a sphere of lightning from which lightning rains down in a wide area. It's attack power is lesser than most spells of a similar tier, but its area of affect is massive.
