Author has written 12 stories for Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter.
Some people may know me simply as Vendie from Open Scrolls Fanfiction Archive, but ff.net does not allow pen names that are the same as someone else's, so I had to tack on "of Rivendell" to the end of my name.
I have ADD and a pretty fantastic imagination is about the only good that comes of it. The other side of that double-edged sword is that I'm not very good at chapter stories because I lack the attention span to see them through to the end, so I stick mostly to one-shot's. My masterpiece is The History Of Legolas series which took me six years to write. I started the story my freshman year of college and finished the final installment two years after I graduated; it received some dearly-needed revisions recently. I'm in the process of writing a separate, capstone piece for it right now.
Dabbling in all sorts of everything is my specialty, so I have a few random stories ranging from books to TV shows. I like photography and sketching. I also sing, play the violin, and I'm cultivating a rapidly-growing interest in genealogy.
My favorites to read are Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia, and Harry Potter.
As for me, I am child of the Most High God, saved from wrath by His son Jesus who is Christ. I'm twenty-something, born and raised in the Midwest, currently chasing God's calling in Washington, DC.
"I have claimed that Escape is one of the main functions of fairy-stories, and since I do not disapprove of them, it is plain that I do not accept the tone of scorn or pity with which 'Escape' is now so often used. Why should a man be scorned if, finding himself in prison, he tries to get out and go home? Or if he cannot do so, he thinks and talks about other topics than jailers and prison-walls?"
"I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken."
