Author has written 19 stories for Harry Potter, Robin Hood BBC, Doctor Who, and Star Wars.
Friends, readers, reviewers all
(seriously hoping you're still out there, since somehow it's become a good long while)
I've finished grad school and am trying to survive the working world! I'm writing an original novel (so my working world someday = the writing career I've always dreamed of)!
Come find me on Tumblr (there, I'm thegirlwholied) if you're there & if you like, and especially if you're interested in following my attempts at said writing career!
I also post some extra-y things from my writing scraps & nonsense, & am happy to answer any questions, any time ;D
Writing, hopefully. Traveling, sometimes. Dreaming, always.
Suddenly in my twenties. Suddenly have-actual-degree-in-Creative-Writing (as of August 2013. MFA. In other words, where-was-I-2010-2013: grad school, the true undiscovered country). Figuring out what to do with it, short-term answer being "anything, please" and long-term answer being "write a million novels and possibly some screenplays". We shall see.
So, while my focus is firmly on Original Things these days, Unfinished Business in fanfiction abounds. And now that I'm all degree'd, I plan to tackle that.
I've also been lousy about review replies & such, but I get and read every single one (immediately, in fact: my email comes to my phone), and probably always will, and you have no idea how much they've meant to me, particularly on Bad Days (of which there are many in grad school: this seems to be a universal truth). Also, reminders, requests, always welcome; I'm forgetful by nature, and messages get my thoughts churning in the writing-a-particular-story direction.
All stories on my favorites list come highly recommended; it's not a button I hit lightly. (When looking for reading, I stalk favorites lists first!)
The stories (I tend to write stories I want to read, & either haven't found That Story or one matching the version in my head. Don't we all.)
Harry Potter, my main stomping ground: / In-progress:
Wheezy: Taking George from the end of Deathly Hallows to not-being-at-the-train-station. Will eventually reach 19 chapters...eventually...
No Nay Never: Ever wonder why so-and-so wasn't in the First Order? One-shots, for many's the plot bunnies I have in great store ;D
Glass of Water: 6th yr, Sirius & Lily becoming friends in their own right (enough to write each other letters!) Meant to be short! ...it got away from me, yeah.
/ Completed / Chapter Fics
All of my stories are designed to be stand-alone but also to fall into the same canon-within-canon if you've read the others!
Fools: As-canon-as-possible take on the Prewetts, Marlene McKinnon, the First War, and exactly what the rest of the original Order thought of one Sirius Black.
The rest are oneshots, so there won't be updates there. The First War ones (Stray Thought/Brackets/State of Mind in particular) go hand-in-hand (with Fools) as a bit of a story development. If you just want one, maybe try:
Doctor Who/ In-Progress :
Venture: Post-Journey's End oneshots that became much more chapter-y. 1 more chp: Pompeii, eventually coming. (Eventually! I know, my favorite word...)
Robin Hood BBC / Completed:
Plight: Robin and Sherwood, after Marian. Allan's singing under his breath and the woods are calling Robin's name- my way of making Marian's pointless death worth it, plot/character-wise (was less than pleased with the show after that.) By far my least reviewed story, but one I personally am particularly attached too. Maybe because it is the least loved...
My Writing Checklist:
Next Up: GoW: Conclusion/ Wheezy: Who Says You Can't Go Home
Coming: Dorcas, Personally / The Other Thrice/ a Finnick & Annie story (Hunger Games).
I like: Canon. Originality. Oneshots (all I have seem to have time to read these days). Minor characters. Banter. Bad boys. In-character AUs. Actual plots. ;D
