Announcement: [December 22, 2010] Just decided to add a few things while I was reading a few fics.
[November 16, 2010]...Three years since the last time I've updated this account?! Well, yeah. Truth is, I'm not writing fanfiction anymore, and I don't really read as much anymore either. In fact, I've realized that I've acquired a taste for professional writing, and I'm busy writing a novel which I hope will be published. Writing fanfiction is now a part of my life that I've put behind me (I haven't even written loads and loads anyway, just three, one of which I've deleted. The two are merely one-shots). Reading fanfiction is another story, as I still read, but I realize that I'm a little more picky with the fanfics I read instead of how I was like before when I'd read anything with my favorite pairing. In fact, during the past three years, I've read only a few fanfiction and a lot more novels than I did when I was younger.
I'm neutral in the dub-sub debate. But sometimes, with the hate everyone gives them, I lean towards being a dub supporter.
I'm into male homoeroticism, so I'm okay with yaoi. Not a major fan like some people are (I'm not pointing any fingers, by the way), but I like reading some occasionally. I just don't like it if a guy who I ship in a heterosexual pairing is being put together with another guy to make a yaoi one.
I like Sophia Esteed, Kyrie, Shirley Fennes, Rosa Farell and all those other video game women like them. I don't find them annoying and people should realize that just because they aren't as badass as other female characters doesn't mean that they aren't strong in their own way. Theirs is a quiet kind of strength that allows them to continue to tag along with the motley crew they're journeying with.
NOTE: Actually, I have a hard time playing favorites for much of anything, because I'm an "in the moment" kind of person. One day, I'll say that this is my favorite, then the next, I'd say that was my favorite. The things I list here are favorites that have actually stuck with me since I first started liking them.
