Author has written 2 stories for Lord of the Rings.
I have been aware of ff.net for only a little while now, probably still less than a year. However, I have been impressed with the quality of some of the writers here, as well as by their beautiful spirits as evidenced by the stories they write. I have been a fan of J.R.R. Tolkien since an observant Jr. High English teacher, seeing how much I loved to read books of every type, but especially fantasy, introduced me to The Hobbit. I was partly responsible for introducing my husband to the wonderful world of M.E. who then introduced our two children to it when they were quite small by reading the stories to them, even to having a different voice for each of the 12 dwarves.
I have writtentwo shortstories of my own so far,and I havea fewchapters done of another story. I'll post it when I get a little further along. The rabid appetites of readers is a bit daunting when I know how long it took me to write just two and a halfchapters. I finally have a beta who is being an AMAZING help to me, along with my daughter who offers me all sorts of suggestions and technical help when she has the time. Having found myself totally immersed in some stories which then just stop without ever ending, I have no wish to inflict the same frustration on anybody else soI will begin posting it when I am abit further along. In the meantime, the research I'm doing for this storyproduced the idea for Measure of Friendship, and a few other little bunnies are circling also, though in my limitedtime I truly am trying to concentrate on my current WIP.
If you have any suggestions for well-written stories which are free of all slash, profanity, sex (a little gentle romance is fine), and extreme violence (h/c is fine within reason), please feel free to message me. I'm one of those voracious readers who is always looking for new stories to read. I try to be courteous and leave at least a few reviews for multi-chapter stories, as I know how much I appreciate reviews to my own.
