![]() Author has written 3 stories for Harry Potter. I read, write and beta-write fanfictions in the Harry Potter Universe. In these fictions I have certain characters appeal more to me then others.. Obviously. I have a short list of characters that truly intrigue me and I will often read a fanfiction just because it features one of them. Severus Snape, the question is he a good guy or a bad guy came to all of our minds at one point. On the one point he saves Harry quite often and on the other he is a sarcastic bastard. For me, both of these things are positive and I find his sarcastic remarks quite funny. I hope to one day match his wit. Hermione Granger's intelligence saved the day more then once, but she has the flaw to be too loyal. She even does the homework of the two boys in other to stay friends. In a fanfiction about her I like to see her rise above that, above her insecurities. One of her greatest points is her compassion. Not many people in the Harry Potter Universe care for House Elves for example and she makes it her goal to change that. Even though she went about it the wrong way, through freedom they didn't desire, it was heartwarming to see her stand up for the underdog. Her fury was also a sight to behold, between blackmailing Skeeter, tricking Umbridge and punching Malfoy I think she is quite the devious witch. That could have been sorted into Slytherin was she a Halfblood or Pureblood. Remus Lupin, the third Marauder and Professor of Defence Against the Dark Arts also tugged at my few heartstrings. As the third Marauder he always stood behind his friends, afraid to lose them, should they find out about his condition. When they found out he still didn't want to give them a reason to think he was a monster. For the simple fact that he was so afraid to lose his only friends, I forgive him for not trying harder to stop them from bullying Severus Snape. However, I cannot as easily forgive him for forgetting to take a potion that keeps him in control during the full moon, while working near students. Even though he might be reunited with his friend, he should think of the safety of those around him first. As he by that point is a werewolf for a long time already I don't see to much reasons to simply forget. Nobody got seriously bitten or hurt however and all got of with nothing more then wet pants. I must admit, as a professor he was great. He thought them about a lot of dark creatures and made sure to fill the gaps of knowledge the other professors left. That he could also have trained to defend themselves or teach the whole class at least the theory of the patronus charm when dementors were flying around.. I'm going of on another rambling rage again. My feelings about this character are conflicted, but I do like his everyday persona, thus as a minor character he would be great. Regulus Black is a lesser known character but he intrigues me too. In the description of Hermione Granger I mentioned her fight for the House Elves. Regulus did this too, after Voldemort asked for Kreacher to test his protections around the locket Horcrux, Regulus became enraged on behalf on the poisoned Kreacher. He healed him (perhaps with help of a certain Potion Master? Or was he so good in potions too?) and then asked to bring him back to that cave. There he drank the poison, while most Purebloods would use there House Elves for that task (was Kreacher a friend of Regulus'?) and was dragged underwater by inferi, after ordering Kreacher to go back to safety and destroy the Locket. In the books Kreacher also rallies to House Elves to fight; for 'Master Regulus! For Hogwarts!' There might have been more then one possible member of S.P.E.W. I also like certain pairings, although if it is a romance story I like it to be interupted with some action or angst along the way. Severus Snape and Hermione Granger (They are both intelligent and scary. And I quote Ron Weasley: "Wow 'Mione, you're brilliant.. but scary.") Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy/Theodore Nott (For all those people that think age is a big deal and thus snamione shouldn't be a thing. I don't think Draco would work that well unless it takes place a few years after the Final Battle but Theodore might do. I believe Theo is an intelligent kid but a bit shy, so Hermione would have the upperhand in that relation.) Wolfstar, Remus Lupin and Sirius Black. (They have a true chemistry and they both transform into an animal of the same family. It is ment to be.) Regulus Black and Severus Snape both switched sides, but did they know about eachothers reservations? Or did they at least see something like another Death Eater that wasn't happy to kill and torture? I plan on writing a fanfiction about a relation between the two. Seeing how we learned Albus Dumbledore is gay, I find it hard to resist to speculate about jis views of Severus Snape. If by some reason Dumbledore becomes enamored by the dark Potions Master it will be one-sided.. And both Dumbledore's sight in the mirror and Severus' boggart. Any one of these things could have me write a fanfiction about it. If you desire to see one of these things sooner rather than later, PM me and I will make it happen. |
