Personal Update 4/16/22:

So it's been a few years since I've written and posted anything. I have a new story that I'm writing. Which I may or may not post. There are a few extra chapters of Kokoro that still need to be edited. I might just discontinue Kokoro. My new story has colonized my brain. If you have thoughts feel free to message me.

4/2/18: Chapter 26, "Ichi-go-ichie" uploaded today! I really, really hate editing. Special treat, this month will have a double chapter post.

11/30/17: Chapter 24, "Classroom Antics" uploaded! I survived NANOWRIMO. Got a few more chapters under my belt.

11/20/15: Chapter 18, how I love and loathe you! Have no fear, great progress was made, especially last night. Believe it!!! Personal deadline to publish this troublesome chapter this month. Yes, you've read that right! Aiming for this Thanksgiving. This author has not given up! And she will cry youthful tears of gratitude once it's edited and online.

10/19/15: Grrrrr!!!!! It's been two years now. Wrote up to chapter 25 while wrestling with that infernal chapter 18. Rather love the story in 18, it's just got several weird plot glitches that are roadblocking it. Hoping to have it done for you by this or next month.

10/3/13: Reversed the order of the 1st 2nd chapters. Seemed to make more sense and will hopefully make the story more engaging at the beginning. Let me know what you think of this set up instead.

Side note: Camp Nano did help, but unfortunately I've written myself into a corner on Chapter 18 and spent the last few months wrestling with it. With Nov. comes Nano again. Armed with Word Wars, pocky and carob chips I shall endeavor to thwart this writers block and continue Kokoro's little epic tale.

6/18/13 - Chapter 17 online. Good news, I'm joining the NanoWriMo Camp as a rebel this July! To hash out some more chapters for Kokoro! So there won't be any updates until Sept./Oct.

5/18/13 - Uploaded Chapter 16 in the wee hours of now Saturday morning. It was one of those eternal "proofing, tweaking and revising" ones. Pretty happy so far. Might updated it later with break lines if they don't show up. Enjoy thanks for reading! Even if its only this profile. :)

11/18/12 - The good news is I've written 4 new chapters! The negative is I'm only at 9,000 words so far and have a whole lot of editing one my hands in December. But, its been a lot of fun as my characters have hijacked my story and took it in a totally different direction than I plan.

1/27/12 - Uploaded Chapter 9 - Iruka's made his appearance in chapter 8 but his true debut is here! Unlike most fan fiction clichés, he's neither super strong nor a dunce. Plus, he's going to be quite an integral part of the story and in the Hokage's plans.

9/11/11 Updated Chapter 1 2, changed Naruto's age from 8 yrs. to 6 yrs. And Kokoro's to somewhere between 8-10 yrs. old. Why, cause it'll make more sense as the story progresses.

Fanfic Thoughts Preferences

I'm not into character bashing, especially of fathers. And one of my favorite "what if" story is "Team 8" by S'TarKan. Also, a cool Time Travel with Obito I'd recommend to check out is "New Identity in the Past" by Dreamyin.

Dreaming of Sunshine by Silver Queen is an amazing self insert that is so uncliche. There's even a lightsaber it in! Even though I'm not into reincarnation its still one of the best stories I've read. I'm in awe of her ability to stay in the first person perspective.

A fan of well written Iruka fanfics. Particularly for Iruka Kakashi platonic friendship fics. Such as "True Confessions of a Paperwork Ninja" by Goldenkizamu and the "Not Over Til The Paperwork Is In" series by WhyMustIWrite.

I've done a LOT of reading of almost any Iruka Fan fiction and feel pretty confident, excited happy about this story. Though I must admit I was quite inspired by the Paperwork series, (see above for title authors). Yes, in Kokoro's story, our poor Chunin will be deluged by some bureaucratic duties. Hopefully to delight you with unique twists.

I believe in free speech, but personally not interested in reading the "Icha Icha" genres in Fanfiction. Wish this website made it easier to exclude these from my searches. If anyone has attempted a Iruka Kakashi straight friendship search you know what I'm talking about. And no, excluding the M rating doesn't put that much of a dent into the results.
