Author has written 4 stories for Pokémon.

Howdy! I'm TheG0AT.

I'm a student at Texas A&M University and a writer who stays on the grind and writes for fun. I write stories for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, a branch of Pokemon with emotionally-riveting games that I feel don't get the amount of fanfare they deserve.

Like most people, I am subject to the human nature of laziness and thus consistent updating is difficult. I'm at a point in life where free time is becoming more sparse than it ever has been, so bear with me as I try to get writing done. Regardless, I try to maintain a schedule of one chapter a month. Don't quote me on that though—it depends on what I'm writing and where in the story it is.

As far as what I have planned, I've got a couple of one-shots in production that I write on when taking a break from Gravity of Perspective. Me and a friend (Shadow of Antioch) have a collaboration in mind as well.

I also have a post-game sequel planned to follow Gravity of Perspective, which is where I plan to pretty much abandon the game's narrative in the wake of an entirely original one that I've been wanting to put together ever since I started writing my story.

Kxbr88m — this is the join code to join my Gravity of Perspective discord! It’s a chill place where I occasionally drop progress reports on how new chapters are coming along, as well as a place readers and writers can chat about the story or about other Pokémon stuff.

RdpvPg3 — this is the join code for PMD Writers United, a discord server for PMD writers and readers! I’ve been there since it began in 2017, and since then, it’s been a great place for motovation and meeting new authors.

Shadow of Antioch — Shadow is my primary beta reader (as of GoP Chapter 31) and the guy that constantly bugs me to stop procrastinating and work on my story. We constantly take part in lighthearted competition, and as a result we've made each other a whole lot better. Shadow is a class personified individual and deserves a lot of credit for the work he's put into his own story. Expect some collaboration projects from us in the future.

Will_1231 — Will and I consult each other often about our respective stories. He’s done a lot to help me build the community of PMD fanfiction discord servers that we spend a lot of our time on, and he’s a diligent member of the fandom.

ExplosiveTurkey — Turkey's become a major confidant of mine and a great friend. Check his story out; he hasn't published much yet but it's already pretty brilliant.

Mimiga — I owe Mimiga a lot of the motivation it took to begin writing GoP. I admire his writing style and I often find myself trying to emulate the emotional weight in his words. If you're looking for a good 70k words of suspenseful romance, check out his story Ears.

Raneko_chan — I first read her story The Time the Sky was Dark several years before I ever really got into fanfiction. I was captivated by the idea that there could be something more that expanded beyond what the video games had to offer. When I finally got into writing fanfiction, I drew a lot of inspiration from her story.
