Author has written 4 stories for Song of the Lioness, and Protector of the Small Quartet.
You gotta beware those quiet ones...you never know what they'll be up to. I'm not much of a writer. Just whenever the inspiration hits (its rare). But I love to read! Mostly Tamora Pierce, Mercedes Lackey, J.K.Rowling, (can you sense a pattern here?) I've always liked fantasy and I love fluff/WAFFy fics. And if anyone actually looks at this I'm willing to beta. Just ask.
Yes, I am proud to be a shipper of:
Tamora Pierce: Kel/Dom , Aly/Nawat , Numair/Daine , and Alanna/George (They are so well written in cannon, why change it?)
Mercedes Lackey: Talia/Dirk (I wish she'd write more about Dirk) Darkwind/Eslpeth, and Vanyel/Steffan
J.K. Rowling: Harry/Ginny , Ron/Hermione , Hagrid/Olympie , Lupin/Tonks (I love Lupin/Tonks. They are so sweet.)
Ranma 1/2: Ranma /Akane, Ukyou/Ryoga or Shampoo/Ryoga,
I love music, especially filk, folk, celticand big band/swing. Also love most music produced by Narada (New Age-ie kind of stuff like David Arkenstone)
I ride Roller Coasters as a hobby. Yay for summer and open parks. (Living in the midwest means no coasters with out an extensive travel budget in the winter. Blah!)
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
I write because I love to, but there are some things you should know about me.
1: I am 32 years old and happily married to a spouse who prefers that I do the cooking (otherwise I'll never find my dishes again grin). I also take turns with laundry, dishes, painting the interior, mowing the lawn, and all the other things that grown-ups with homes of their own find themselves doing.
2: I am a part time LTAC pharmacist and a full time mommy of a beautiful, precocious, and exhausting 2 year old. She doesn't share mommy with the computer well.
3: I am picky about my writing. I won't post it until I think it is the best I can make it. If you want it fast it will be a fluff piece or worse, absolute garbage.
So, as much as I hate to admit it, real life often takes precedence over play time/story writing. Please be patient with updates.
Now for the ongoing author's notes on my story/stories:
Alone in the Universe:
I have a bit of a story line that might work. We'll see what happens, but I won't start it until after What Dreams and it's sequal are finished. For now, at least, it remains stand alone.
Okay, here's the deal. Eveybody who has read the Protector series. Well, I did a little research and at one time the British regular army was in the same boat. They didn't allow marriage. Then due to many of the reasons that are discussed in the story they began slowly letting them. It brought along its own problems. Women were trapping men into marriage with children that didn't always belong to them, men sometimes had wives in several towns. It was a mess. So more rules were piled on top of the old ones. If you read the letters you'll find that almost all of the suggestions that Raoul makes actually had basis in reality. BTW: the laws in question were enacted during the Regency period (For you Americans out there, the war of 1812 was Regency).
What Dreams May Come:
Some folks out there seem to think that Kel and Dom should just hop into bed together the moment that they finally declare their feelings. One, it is so extremely OOC that it isn't funny. Two, if Dom suggested it, Kel would clobber him. Three, if you do the math, the whole story takes place over about 24 maybe 36 hours.
So now I've started the third story in the set. The Journey will probably move a bit faster, involve more people, and have a few more rivals for the attention of our favorite pair. It is intentionally funnier, afterall, Kel was really loosened up by the end of the fourth book. That said, there will be angsty moments, panic moments. There will be two weddings. Obviously Neal and Yuki, but who else? You'll just have to wait and see. Cleon comes back.
