Thought it was time to update this as I haven't done so in nearly 5 years.

I'm JCMoorehead, I'm a fanfic writer that specializes in Eva, particularly fics involving the Asuka/Shinji pairing in some form. I've been a fan of Eva since around 2005 when i randomly bought it using some Amazon gift vouchers I had. I absolutely fell in love with the series, but the ending at the time did leave me wanting more, so I did dig into the world of Fanfiction. I read a lot back then, and wrote a handful of things, one of which was awful and has been deleted, the other was Conspiracy which I'm still super proud of to this day and was a sort of AU fic taking the cast and concepts of Eva and popping them in an X Files style world. I also wrote a couple of One Shots back then.

I then took a long break from writing and really being a part of the fandom. This was due to Uni and just other things going on in my life. I never fell out of love with Eva, but I just didn't really remain in the fandom, and external stuff just kinda sapped things. I got back into writing shortly after I started working at a new place, I can't really remember why but I had this idea that just stuck with me and I started watching Eva again and the NTE releases. This idea was supposed to be a little one off piece, but evolved into "The Human Equation"

From there I kinda got myself back into the fandom, Tumblr was a big thing at the time so there was a healthy Eva fandom in place. I started to write more and more, again fics kinda centering on that Asuka/Shinji pairing, I also revamped one of the fics I wrote back from my first stint in the fandom and even tackled a post 3.33 Fic, as well as delving into a fic depicting a trio of Asuka/Shinji/Kaworu.

Regarding shipping, I really try to be easy going. My primary ship is Asuka/Shinji, but I also love the idea of Shinji/Kaworu (I see Shinji as being Bisexual, and Kaworu being who he is, i believe to be Pansexual.), I like the concept of Asuka/Kaworu and have actually written a What-If where Kaworu meets Asuka instead of Shinji.

Outside of that, I'm a video game and prog rock nerd. You'll find a vast number of references to music scattered in my stories, from the titles of the fics to songs the characters listen to, chapter titles and beyond. It's a bit self-indulgent, but I like my fics to have a bit of that in anyway, I like to write WAFFy or fluffier stuff, I might tackle some harder themes at times but in general I don't like to stray too far into the darkness but I am also keen to make sure the themes of Evangelion are present in terms of presenting themes of depression, overcoming guilt, forgiveness, etc.

At the moment I'm working on a story which takes the concepts/cast of Evangelion and transposes them into the Star Trek universe. It's going to be called Frontiers, and I'm hoping I can start releasing it soon.
