(Please Note that This Profile is under reconstruction, and has yet to be proof read or spell checked.) Age: To Old For My Likings... I'm an avid reader who has been ghosting since late 2k4, and I am always looking for an enticing, and well written yarn. When it comes what stories I like the following guideline typically apply: Epic Scale Tales - I love long tales, the longer the tale the more time the author has to build the plot. Usually in longer stories the author also has the time to draw out characters personalities, giving the reader the sense that they know the character on a personal level. Large Scale Chapter Manfacturing - Although not always indicitive of a well written story, generally authors that produce larger chapters write better content. This rule is reflective of epic tales, as the author generally spends more time on one thought or idea. Revie Count / Recomendation - Taking up reading a new story or works by an author that I have not prevoiusly looked into, will generally take into account the revies that are left in response to the story. Review count and quality are generally considered, the count is not always indictive of the quality of the fictction as depending on the Genera reviewer pools varry in number and anlitical ability. Recomendations from authors whom have written works that I have have entertaining are generally looked into, particullary those given by authors with well proofread stories. Technical Perfection - I enjoy stories that have a high degre of technical perfection. By that I mean I enjoy those stories have low rates or spelling, gramatical, and typographical errors. Although I will admit that I am no master of the englich language, or any other spoken language, such mistakes do distract from the entertainment value. I may not be the best versed in such venues, however I do have a strong enough handle on the basic principles that if an author is will to accept the recomendations, I am more than willing to point out any such mistakes that glare me in the face while I am reading. -JLBShecky |
