During my high school years, I'd spend hours and hours daily watching SF/fantasy and playing video games (especially RPGs). As a huge Star Wars fan, in 2004 I founded Endor Academy – the first Croatian Star Wars sim (PbeM RPG). At that time, I was also one of the mods for the forums of Croatian SW Fan Association MosCroatia Spaceport and that of Star Trek Center (today operating as SF Center within the portal). In the midst of various life events and turning points, I retreated from these activities, but my heart remains tied to all SF/F fans, because they aren’t satisfied with an ordinary life and dull routine of this world. We are born with a sense that there is something more; with a will to participate in something of a cosmic importance; with a desire for a better, more beautiful and more complete world.
More about that on my wordpress blog "Conflict of Ages" (just copy/paste the underlined part into a search engine.)
What am I writing?
Mostly Star Wars fanfics that deal with spiritual and philosophical themes. Currently, I'm focused on crossovering SW with the Bible, and it surprised me how well it works. One such story is already published (Star Wars: It's So Much Bigger, giving backstory to The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi). A spinoff is in plan that would go back all the way to the beginnings of the 'Galaxy far, far away' from an 'It's So Much Bigger' perspective and then present a series of one-shots covering significant personal, local and galactic events throughout its conflict-ridden history. An outline is being developed for a series of SW/historical fiction stories focused on a Jedi stranded on Earth during the Middle Ages (actually, from the 1st century Rome to the 16th century Reformation).
After SW, Tolkien's legendarium is my favorite fictional world and I plan to write several stories related to the Silmarillion and the Lord of the Rings. I'm also a big fan of Star Trek and Stargate, so maybe I'll write within those worlds too. And, yes, I write stories related to the Bible, because its true cosmic conflict narrative is what I love most and the reason why those fictional worlds focusing on the grand battle between good and evil engage me so much.
What do I review?
Anything connected to the Bible, Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate and all of Tolkien (Lord of the Rings, Silmarillion, Hobbit).
Likely anything within Chronicles of Narnia, Indiana Jones (including The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles), Lost, Hunger Games, Inception, Matrix, Tron, Avatar, Elder Scrolls, Wonder Woman, Thor, Tarzan, James Bond, Titanic, Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, The Sound of Music, West Wing, Roswell, Red Dwarf, Invisible Man, 24, Nikita, JAG, ER, M*A*S*H, Band of Brothers, Saving Private Ryan, Kingdom of Heaven, Gladiator, Robin Hood, Wizard of Oz, Xena: Warrior Princess, and any mythology
I especially like stories (from whatever fandom) that deal with philosophical and spiritual themes. I like crossovers, too, including those with historical fiction.
I don't enjoy reading coarse language and vivid descriptions of sex and violence.
I am open for review exchanges and for all advice, ideas, comments and concrits regarding my work or writing in general.
