I was asked if I had to pick 3 of my stories that I liked the best I'd pick Reclaiming the House of Black, Harry Potter and Re-building a Utopia, and The Dead Potions Master. Ironically only one is one of my most popular. The other two are not up there, but I have reread them many times, which means I think I've done a good job. This has changed to Deadpool's Fun and Weaponized Cuteness and Re-building a Utopia. What can I say, I love Deadpool. Now I've got to say that The Near-Sighted Basilisk is one of my favorites. Again, not one of the more popular ones, but I have a feeling it's a sleeper.

If you have read my current stories, then you know I am going through some physical limitations right now. I am working with doctors to get these corrected, but so far, they haven't come up with any reason as to why my hands are malfunctioning. I do type at least once a day or try to. I am very dedicated to my craft. However, real life, and a great deal of pain, does interfere.

I have tried dictation, but I found it doesn't work well for storytelling. There are too many commands that interrupt the flow of my muse. That and I have a lisp, which makes for some interesting sentences that come up. Editing is fun then. It's like, 'What was I trying to say?'

I've had a few reviews accusing me of being a homophobe. That is utterly ridiculous, my daughter, my niece, and some very good friends of mine are not straight. I have no clue how they got that from my writing.

Let me correct a misconception, I am an American. However, I'm writing from a British perspective, so I try to have my stories use British lingo. I don't always get it right, as is pointed out to me via brit-pickers (to which I am very thankful). Anyways, some reviewers seem to think I'm from the UK, nope born and bred USA. Just thought I'd clear that up.

If you are reading this, I'm going to assume you've read at least one of my stories. In most of my stories I speculate that there's no such thing as Muggleborn. I'm constantly asked, then where did the first one come from? My answer: the same place the first human came from... Evolution. They evolved, just like non-magicals. I could but a religious twist on it, and say Magic was a deity that worked in conjunction with God, but I'm more of an atheist than religious. Not straight up but leaning that way. Anyway, that's my answer.

One of my challenges was taken up. It is called A Day in the Life of Madam Pomfrey by PokePotterfan93: It is a very adorable story, you should give it a read.

There is also a one-shot off my A Brand New Start story: Brand New Start - Home Dimension by RUGoing2writethat. It is a really cute story on what happens to George and Hermione after Hydrus/Harry leaves.

Joining a community is useful. If you're part of one, you don't have to browse through all the fics, just let them do it for you. Well, you can still browse, when you feel like it. I have my own community and add anything I'm likely to read more than once. So, go, join mine, or another, or ten, and let me, or them, help you find a good story.

How to find a beta

Go to the top of ffn, click the beta tab, select your type of story (book, movie…), narrow results (Harry Potter, Twilight...), narrow them some more (drama, family…), go to the last page for newer betas, read profiles, and pm who you like. I suggest more than one.

If you want to extend one or more of my one-shots or create a world that branches off one of mine, have at it, just drop me a link so I can let my readers know. I find it flattering.
