Author has written 27 stories for Harry Potter, Practical Magic, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, and NCIS.
I am just a retired old woman who does nothing all day but write and read fanfiction. I am right now suffering from a weird sleep schedule that has me sleeping through the day and up all night, which is when I try to write. I suffer from bi-polar disorder (among other things) and sometimes it takes a lot just to get in front of my laptop. I am a passive/aggressive person by nature, it shows in my writing. Most of my stories have happy ending and very little conflict.
All my stories are now on hold, partly because I'm going offline for a few months, and because I can't seem to write on my two unfinished stories. I do however have quite a few others on the back burner, which I will be working on while I'm offline. I will either complete them or delete them, because I hate having unfinished tales on my list. So there you are, until my muse or internet comes back I'm writing nothing new; probably, maybe, who knows.
Update: I figured out what the hotspot on my phone is used for, but my bucket is small (cheap prepaid plan). Yeah, I'm slow, but hey none of my kids are here to explain this stuff. anyway, because I have a lower speed on my phone, updates for the stories are still going to be slow.
If you want to extend my one-shots, or create a world that branches off one of mine, please, have at it, just drop me a link so I can post it here. I find it flattering.
Fairywm’s Poll results
This is a series of polls that I posted; I was hoping to help my writing by asking people what they looked for in a story. I am posting them now for you as writer’s aids. If anyone wants to do their own survey, by all means do so. I would love to see the results. If you have any questions as to why I asked these questions, then by all means ask, and I’ll be more than happy to answer. If you have a question you think would make a good poll, then let me know and I’ll put up another one and post the top five results here.
There was a poll that I deleted, where I asked how long people preferred chapters, the winner was 4,000 to 5,000 words long.

Remember those are only the top five answers. If you want the entire selection PM me. Some of these got a lot of votes, while other only got fifty. Remember these are a bit bias, since it is mostly my readers who voted. I would like someone else to run these polls and see if there are different outcomes.
I would like to shout out to my two betas that have looked at most of my stories, barring the rewrites. Alix33 and darrelldeam.
I like a good crossover. If the people are in character and the crossover is done with good flow, then I am all for it.
I have to say that one of my favorite crossovers is Potter's Protector (and the sequels). If you like Xander from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Harry Potter you will enjoy (Potter's Protector by mjimeyg The spirit of Hogwarts believes that Harry has suffered enough in his eleven years of life and calls in a protector to guide and care for him. Not slash, rating for violence in later chapters.)
Update: Potter's Protector is now my second favorite, though still a very good read. My new favorite crossover is a Harry Potter and Avengers story. (I See The Moon by hctiB-notsoB While on the run, Bruce meets a young man who speaks to the moon. He's probably not quite the sanest friend Bruce could have made, but, well...beggars can't be choosers.), which is incomplete, but was updated January 2015 so I am very hopeful.
My favorite all time story is (Poison Pen by GenkaiFan Harry has had enough of seeing his reputation shredded in the Daily Prophet and decides to do something about it. Only he decides to embrace his Slytherin side to rectify matters.) I actually enjoy most of these ladies fics, you should read them all.
Update: Poison Pen has been bumped down to second favorite (sorry ladies). My new all-time favorite is (On a Pale Horse by Hyliian AU. When Dumbledore tried to summon a hero from another world to deal with their Dark Lord problem, this probably wasn't what he had in mind. MoD!Harry, Godlike!Harry, Unhinged!Harry. Dumbledore bashing.) A total must read.
I normally don't do horror, but I've read this one-shot many, many times and had to put it here as one of my favorites. (A Crime Fitting the Punishment or Dumbledore's Monster by Diresquirrel Albus Dumbledore gets an unexpected visitor in his office one late summer night. The Headmaster finds himself talking to a monster he never knew could arise from his actions. Darkish.) This is a must read.
I've just realized how useful being part of a community was, yeah, I'm slow. Anyway, now I don't have to browse through all the fics, I just let them do it for me. Well, I'll still do my own browsing when I feel like it. I have my own community and add anything I'm likely to read more than once. So go, join a community or ten and let them help you find a good story.
How to find a beta
Go to the top of ffn click the beta tab select your type of story (book, movie…) narrow results (Harry Potter, Twilight...) narrow them some more (drama, family…) go to the last page for newer betas read profiles pm who you like. I suggest more than one.
One last thing, there is a program that will allow you to download from this site. It is called, fanfiction downloader and can be found at fanfictiondownloader.net. I download them into mobipocket format and then upload them on to my Kindle.
Thanks for dropping by and reading my rambling.
