Author has written 3 stories for Harry Potter, and Glee.
FYI, Glee has taken over my life. Sorry HP'ers.
My greatest aspiration now is to write the words "The End."
Oh, look at that. Dreams do come true.
So...update here. I'm currently back to working on Til Human Voices Wake Us, since it seems to have taken over my imagination. Whatever it Takes is pretty much on the back-burner for a while, but that doesn't mean that I won't return to it again. I have a lot more adventure planned for that story, including a hitchhiking road trip that I need to do a bit of research for, so hopefully it'll be worth the wait.
Also, I'm getting to a point where it's hard to keep up with consistency...I need a reader's point of view, and someone willing to bounce ideas with. So...on the lookout for a beta.
So, about me...well, I've been living in a military town for the past year, working about 14 hours a day, 6 days a week, and even the most heartfelt love for my job didn't save me from the consequences of prolonged stress. Therefore, I worked myself sick, lost my job, and am now moving back in with my parents. Not easy to do, at my age. But, on the plus side, that leaves me a whole lot of time for writing now. It also leaves me with a medical condition and no affordable health insurance, but hey, maybe Hell will freeze over, certain people will grow a conscience, and we'll actually get universal health care in this country. Or maybe I'll just become a stripper.
Hey, so I finally got around to writing my profile page! Any of you who have read my work know that I'm probably the world's worst updater. It takes me 2-3 days to write a chapter, but months to get myself to do it. Why? Because I'm a procrastinator, I love reading too much, and I have nobody giving me a detention if I miss a due date.
I'm not in high school. In fact, I've already graduated college. I'm at that age where I've been thrown out into the water and told to swim. I have four jobs, a dog, and a broken vacuum cleaner. If you have a dog, then you know how much I've been sneezing lately because of this. I also have a life-size cardboard cuttout of Orlando Bloom as Legolas. If you're Orlando Bloom and you're reading this, sorry if that freaks you out. If you had a cardboard cuttout of me, it would freak me out. Actually, no it wouldn't. Marry me?
I've been reading Harry Potter fanfiction for a little over a year now. I prefer action/adventures that actually have action and don't just say they do. I also read romance, and as you can see from my favorites list I like both het and slash stories, mostly HP/DM. I'd like to write a slash story in the future, but Whatever it Takes will be sticking to cannon.
I absolutely abhor stories in which Harry dies in the end. And anyone who thinks that JK Rowling is going to off him in book 7 needs a reminder that these books were originally written for children and Rowling is not going to willfully traumatize an entire generation of prepubescents just to be unpredictable. Not to mention book sales would plummet. Comprendez?
