Author has written 10 stories for Inuyasha, Majin Tantei Nōgami Neuro, Avengers, Get Backers, Rurouni Kenshin, and Danny Phantom.
My profile picture? I'm a taiko player. I recommend looking up some groups. Kodo in particular, because they are absolutely amazing. If you like drums, anyway.
As a preface, I want to say that like any writer posting to this website, I love feedback. I want to know what works and what could be changed. I want to know how things made you feel, or parts that stand out (or if you catch those little elements I add in to stories because I want a wow-factor when you realize what just happened). I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. And I want to you talk to other writers, too, because that's what this community is here for. Most of us will be lucky to receive just a few notes of feedback. I think even fewer end up with something that really digs into their work and offers suggestions. Make it your priority as a reader to take the time to do that, because that's incredibly important to our growth.
Rant aside, if you find interest in my work, please tell me about it. Think of it like paying the writer for the time they took creating the work, even if you don't like it. Help us make us better.
ALSO: I write for the sake of exploring characters. Actually, I read for all of that, too. Fanfiction is a wonderful playground to poke at sides of characters and unravel concepts and ideas behind them, and I really can't get enough of it. I think I discover more about what authors intended to convey through their characters after reading or writing fanfiction that involve them. It is fantastic.
Random information about yours truly
I find that being able to put an image to a writer is nice, so I'll be generous with my info (though not too much). Also, I write a lot. More than I can keep track of at times. I have manila folders with notebook pages sorted into them, composition notebooks with incomplete ideas, a number of random plots and ideas sorted into folders on my computer...more than I have obviously written here. And I'm always coming up with something new. I love writing, but when it comes to completing something, I seem to hit a wall. I'm terrible when it comes to updating, so I'm trying to write out stuff ahead of when I post now, just to keep some semblance of order. I apologize in advance for my tardiness, and vow to finish my stories eventually.
I am a woman, just in case it was really, really bugging you, or if it wasn't entirely obvious from my writing style.
Name: You can call me anything you like, just so long as it does not refer to my height ...or lack thereof...
hair: long, brown
eyes: grayish blue, sometimes turquoise or gray
Current Residence: In your head. Yep, right in that corner of your mind, playing around with your perception of the world. I see you laughing, but you're actually slightly creeped out.
Likes: a lot, namely Japan, my...almost boyfriend? Significant other? We're something; I don't know -- my family, and how much my writing has improved in the last few years.
Dislikes: far too many things to list here and potentially bore you to death with.
Manga: Inuyasha is my all time favorite, Slayers (light novels, actually), and then there are too many others to list.
Anime: Once again, Inuyasha, Slayers, and once again, again (haha) too many others to list.
Books/series: Vampire Hunter D (check it out. Not your typical vampire series, though the women are always pretty and D even more so), The Soprano Sorceress and sequels, Anne McCaffery stuff...can't think of much else at the moment...oh, the Assassin's Creed novels by Oliver Bowden aren't bad, and the "I Bring The Fire" series is quite lovely as of late.
STORY HAPPENINGS START HERE!
So, EVENTUALLY I'll get around to writing something along the lines of what's written below. When and how, not yet sure, but these have the most potential (as in, I've pretty much figured out the plot for once).
The Dreamer: The Dream Catcher wielder Kaliska Michael settles into her life as an exorcist, bugging Kanda for company, and learning that just because she's found her destiny, it doesn't mean things are much easier. Her time with The Order told in many drabbles. (D. Gray-man) -- I'm playing with a different writing style for this now, partially out of laziness, mostly out of the 'what if a story was written like this' kind of curiosity. It's going to make this long with many short chapters, but at least it will be updated regularly (once I get everything written out, which isn't too long from now - although it needs major editing because I started it years ago and that means its not very good).
Bound: A girl is forced to run away from her home because of a curse that will be the end of her when she turns twenty. She finds herself in the company of Sesshomaru, and when her father's vassals find her she unwittingly binds Sesshomaru with the curse that has attached itself to her. Now they must find a way to break the curse before it does to him what it has done to every other demon she's bound; destroys his mind. (Inuyasha) -- Got the plot, just need the guts and time.
Eliminator: The GetBackers are hired to retrieve a package of stolen goods en route to a rival business associate via Kuroudo Akabane. What they aren't told is that the little man had hired an expert Eliminator not long before, and her varying definition of eliminating the problem has caused him some grief. Something about this whole job smells a bit fishy, but with bills to pay and a car to get back from impound, the retrieval duo isn't about to turn down a couple million yen just because they have to pinch their noses. (GetBackers) -- This plot bunny started hopping around a few years ago, and I'm looking into it again. It's gotten better, and I think I can really get something out of this (though I should really finish my other stories before starting another multi-chapter fic...)
Unusual Clientele: The GetBackers have have had their share of strange clients before, but when a kid hires them to retrieve one Kuroudo Akabane, they may well have met their strangest one yet. (GetBackers) -- This will be a short one that's going to stray a fair bit further from canon than I like to go these days, but it will be fun, there will be feels, and it will show up one day. Look, I even have a title!
Muscle Memory: When a situation becomes more than they can handle otherwise, Akabane takes up his scalpels to save once more. There are some things better remembered by the hands.(GetBackers) -- I'm on a kick, apparently. It'll show up at some point, because I have to share with you my little 'everything makes sense' moment that spawned this.
Untitled: Mai always knew to trust her gut. That feeling she should never ignore just because she knew she wasn't wrong. But sometimes she can't bring herself not to trust Naru's instinct, and this time happened to be one of them. Next time she thinks a house shouldn't be entered, she will insist upon that, and Naru...well, he'll probably listen. If there is a next time. (Ghost Hunt) -- Struck with inspiration one day out of the blue, so I'm trying to figure this one out.
Untitled #2: The world's most powerful and beautiful sorceress is at it again! After running into the whole gang in the middle of roughing up some bandits, Lina and the others take what was supposed to be a casual walk to reconnect. Of course, the group of misfit heros can't ever get together casually without something going on, and that something turns into another plot involving Lina saving the world. Between Xellos tagging along for the ride and a strange girl with deep connections to the astral plane, Lina's going to have her hands full. (Slayers) -- The Slayers universe is really big, so I have a lot to explore before I can truly say I'm ready to move ahead with this.
This One Is ALSO Untitled: Yako is forced to evolve when a case suddenly grinds to a halt, and the demon usually responsible for clearing up those jams is the reason for the problem in the first place. Without Neuro to guide her, Yako must solve this mystery on her own before her demonic counterpart is lost to her forever. (Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro) -- Because Neuro is all sorts of fun. I've never attempted a mystery, however, so this one needs a lot of work before I can even think about publishing it.
I Really Need to Come Up with Titles: Section Chief Misaki Kirihara decides to make a really stupid decision she knows she's going to regret in the morning. Her duties as a police officer should come second to none, but when it comes to BK201, important matters like civic responsibility quickly find places to hide. Her priorities will straighten themselves out in the morning; until then, a certain wounded contractor needs some help. Especially since this whole situation is kind of her fault.(Darker Than Black) -- This is an old idea that came up way back with I first watched the series, and now that I have a few years more experience, it's rearing its head again. The relationship between Li and Misaki and Hei and Misaki is a wonderful thing to explore while it's still a separate notion to her, and I want to play with and push it. Because honestly, they are both characters that act on their emotions, and I totally see this happening.
5-30-15 -- The content in Lessons had been replaced because I finally worked things out for it. Reread if you get the chance. If you don't, you'll get the reminder in chapter two. Expect it eventually; it's half way done right now, but I want to make sure I get DW going somewhere so I can get the story over with and start working on other projects (and then rewrite it later because it really, really needs it).
2-3-15 -- Holy shmiggles and peppers; Deep Water has been revived! I don't know what shmiggles are, but they seemed appropriate for this. On another note, apparently the mating season for plot bunnies is on, or the ones in my head just got really excited with the creative writing class I'm in. Either way, I'm messing with ideas I probably shouldn't be entertaining given that I still need to finish DW, and I should probably do something about Beautiful Moon or Lessons while I'm at it. Some little stories like Protecting may crop up on here, though.
12-7-14 -- Thanks to a user for rekindling my flame for Deep Water, that story has now moved to the top of my priorities list. That means Lessons, Beautiful Moon (am I actually ever going to work on that one?), and any other projects are on hold until further notice. I started DW in 2008; it's high-time I finished it.
12-1-14 -- And it's been over a year since I've had any activity here aside from reading. I am working on things (Lessons is moving along at a slow crawl, BUT is it coming together nicely, and I'm looking forward to publishing it), but I'm working very slowly. Little new ideas keep getting in the way, and then I have to write them out a bit before I'm satisfied. Maybe I'll have more time next semester. Or over winter break.
11-18-13 -- Lessons (the Loki story) is up, or at least chapter one is, anyway. I had said I was going to wait until I had the whole thing written before posting it, but I ended up doing it anyway. I have a lot of plot details to work out before I can move ahead with it, though, so if you've started it and are looking forward to more, I apologize for the long wait coming up. I probably won't have chapter two ready until January.
10-27-13 -- Well, I did get something done. Chapter one of that Loki story is unofficially complete (I keep changing details), but you won't get to read it for a little while. I got a little father on the next chapter for BM, but I'm still stuck. And college just likes to get in the way of everything.
