I'd abandon FanfictionDotNet if I could, because I really hate it. I much prefer for people to read my stories and interact with me on my other sites, such as AO3 (Raberba_girl) or DeviantArt (raberbagirl). My Web site has links and much more information, including indexes to help readers navigate my fanfiction a lot better than they can on FFN.
I apologize if it takes me a long time to reply to your review or answer your message, but I still love hearing from people even if I am not able to reply right away! :D
I am a Christian aro ace. Almost all my favorite pairings are completely platonic, and I do not like yaoi/yuri/etc. at all.
Ultimate favorite pairings:
How to Train Your Dragon is now my main fandom, and Kingdom Hearts has dropped down to my secondary fandom.
I very rarely write for Rurouni Kenshin anymore, and will never again write Kenshin/Kaoru. I won't write Aoshi/Misao or Sano/Megumi romance, either.
Any other fandoms you see from me will be very rare.
Guys, please be respectful, okay?
Demanding updates is rude, especially when you left no actual feedback on the story.
If you liked a story enough to Favorite it, you obviously have something to say about it. Silent Faves can be discouraging. Also, empty reviews that mention no details/specifics/etc. have the same effect as silent Faves.
Respect other people's views. Everyone has the right to disagree with you about things like pairings, they have a right to interpret canon differently than you do, they have a right to experiment in their art with concepts you may not like, etc.
If you want to make a negative comment, you need to be logged in. There are no excuses; leaving anonymous criticism automatically brands you as a coward.
Although I do enjoy hearing other people's "wish lists" for what they'd like me to write, please don't make demanding requests as if I owe you something. o.O
The Good News:
God the Father is the all-powerful, all-knowing maker of the universe, whose very essence is love. He created each and every person with a plan and purpose in mind, and his desire is for each and every person to choose of their own will to return his love, to follow and serve him.
Unfortunately, human beings chose sin over God, condemning the entire human race to death and torment, to be separated from God forever.
The good news is that God loves us so much that he came to earth in human form, as Jesus Christ, in order to live a sinless life and become a worthy sacrifice to take our punishment upon himself. Because of this precious gift, all who choose to accept it are reconciled to God, cleansed of their sin, and live in holy, joyful fellowship with him forever.
You must, however, choose to accept this gift, because it will not be forced upon you. It involves admitting and repenting of your sin, and trusting your life and heart to God.
Though Christians should have fellowship with other Christians, never forget that no human being and no church is perfect. If you base your faith on people rather than on Scripture, you will inevitably be disappointed and discouraged. Jesus Christ is the only person without sin, therefore he is the ultimate example of a Christian. People will always fail you at one time or another, but God will never fail you, and he will never abandon you or stop loving you.
"Your enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour." (1 Peter 5:8) All the bad things that have happened to you in the past, and all the bad things that might be happening to you right now, are hindrances meant to keep you from God. If you don't overcome them, they will destroy you. Don't let unforgiveness, unrepentance, stubbornness, pride, or fear deprive you of what God meant for you to have. No matter what your circumstances, praise the Lord! Praise is a powerful weapon against the darkness that seeks to destroy you.
You have the rest of your life to repent and give your heart to God - but none of us knows if we will even still be alive in the next hour. Your choice must be made while you live on earth; after that, it is too late. Do not delay!
Review reply to an anonymous reader of "Dhas":
Astrid & Hiccup have an understanding in this AU - he knows that if he lets her do whatever she wants to him sexually, he earns some bargaining power, which he desperately needs in his situation. Right now, he has separation anxiety regarding his children, so if she's willing to compromise enough to not tear him away from them, he'll put up with satisfying her sexually despite the degradation and inconvenience.
She does know that he doesn't love her, and she doesn't actually love him, either, despite the attraction to him she's developed. She never expected to have anything other than a loveless marriage from the very beginning, and he long ago gave up on having a fulfilling marriage; she's just working the arrangement to her advantage as best she can, and he's trying hard to survive the marriage and pinning all his hope on his children.
As far as Astrid being sad and regretful about her treatment of Hiccup, we'll get there eventually! Just not anytime soon...
Review reply to an anonymous Until We Meet At The Table Of Kings: Lost Wings:
Uh...actually, that WAS going to be the plot of the second installment in that series; I hadn't realized that that's apparently a common subject to write about. *smile/sweatdrop* But I'm also going to do one more where they die together. I just wanted to try all the different combinations, since I can be overly thorough about things.
