Hello, I'm Sam! ;D
I love old book smell! If someone can bottle it, I would buy it in a heartbeat! No, a blink of an eye!!
I was born October 28th and I love the water. I also have a love of drawing and writing. I hope to do a lot of traveling before I die, I don't want to be stuck in one place for most of my life, I want to see everything I can of the world, and beyond, if I can find the means.
I live in Oklahoma, that's about right smack dab in the middle of the United States, and the weather sucks. In the winter it can get down to -10 F (about -23.3 C) and in the summer it can get up to 110 F (about 43.3 C). When it rains, it pours. When it snows, it blizzards. When you think one thing is going to happen, something else happens. The weather man is wrong 60-80 of the time. If you want to become a meteorologist professionally, don't start in Oklahoma, get some experience before you tackle the unpredictability of Oklahoman weather. If you don't like the weather now, wait five minutes, it'll change. Oh, did I mention the Tornadoes? Out of NOWHERE a big funnel of wind, dust, dirt, and debris from whatever else it ran into, comes barreling down the road. You know what most sensible people do when they hear the tornado sirens? HIDE and TAKE COVER! You know what a true Oklahoman does when he hears the sirens? WATCH it come in then CHASE it after it leaves!
And No, not everyone in Oklahoma is either a cowboy or a Native American Indian. Just because the majority is, doesn't mean that all are. I don't like it when people judge someone to be a country redneck just because they come from Oklahoma.
Did I mention, I dislike prejudice. I think it's ridiculous that people should be judged solely on where they're from and what they look like. But I'm a loving person like that.
I like anime like Pokemon, sci-fi like Dr. Who, fantasy like Harry Potter, TV dramas like House MD, musicals like Phantom of The Opera, family movies like Pirates of the Caribbean, and the occasional thriller like the Dr. Lector movies or those by M. Night Shymalan. Yeah, I know, I'm a weird girl and I have varied tastes, but as the Doctor might say "Diversity should be embraced, not crushed. How so very Dalek to think otherwise."
And just to prove how weird I am, I'm thinking about establishing a PMing game of either Clue/Cluedo or Chess. That would be fun, playing Clue(Cluedo) with other FanFiction-ers, but I think IM would be more suitable for that. PM would work better with Chess I think.
Characters without a plot (please PM me if you want to use any of them)
(None available at this time... :'( ...sorry...)
Current stories (published):
Hotel Mismanagement= Doctor Who fic. When Jena and Angela Ainslie (my OCs) go to a science fiction convention in a local hotel, things get shaken up a bit. Jena, who managed to get a job as a security guard, notices a few things that are a bit off. There's a big blue box just outside the door, a man with a brown trench coat that seems very familiar somehow, and who could miss the sphere of fog that was making its way down the street. Tenth Doctor fic, Post-Donna, first of a series that is temporarily paused at the moment. Rated K. Complete! (Update: May be revised soon)
The Man with the Red and White Shoes= Sherlock Holmes/Doctor Who Crossover. When one of Watson's clients dies mysteriously, Holmes is put on the scent of a deeper plot. A strangely dressed man, restless sleepers, and a chain of events that seems to lead nowhere. Can Holmes find his man in time to prevent further tragedy? Tenth Doctor, Post-Donna, Post-Moriarty I think. Rated K.
Doctor meet Dr. meet Holmes= Doctor Who/Sherlock Holmes/House M.D. crossover. Just an experimental story of mine. I become a main character. Don't have a real plot yet. I'll probably make it up as I go along. I cameo and plop all three characters into the TARDIS so that they can help me "write an essay that compares and contrasts characters from classic and contemporary literature/TV for my English class". Tenth Doctor. (He's my favorite so far) Should have a lot of humor. In Progress! 2nd Chapter up! put on hold for now. (Update: On hold until further notice)
Works in progress (unpublished):
The Man with the Red and White Shoes is going to be pulled back for revisions very soon. All reviews, though highly positive have raised the same concerns: "The Doctor isn't in it enough" and "the ending was too sudden." Both will be addressed. I will probably find more issues with it as I go along since it has been several years since I first published it.
