Author has written 6 stories for Inuyasha, Vampire Diaries, and Once Upon a Time.
I'm Vena. I'm one of the oldest-souled twentysomething editors, academics, teachers of children, wives to personal princes charming, and occasional writers of fiction, both the fan and original varieties, that you will ever meet. My primary online haunt is a little corner of the Internet located here. However, I do keep a Tumblr at the same username (venagrey) - currently almost as sparse as my Ello, but at least it's there. I'm bad at social media.
My works on this site I consider practice and are usually AU if they're longer than a one-shot. I also beta. If you'd like me to have a look over your work, see my beta profile for specs on what I take, but definitely don't be afraid to drop me a line.
I've been writing fanfiction since I was 13. I read in more fandoms than I write. Roughly 1/4 of the pieces I've written make it as far as posting - I only post pieces for which I've finished the first draft, due both to very slow writing and a tendency to abandon stories for which inspiration burns bright but short. I ship Captain Swan, Gremma, Klaroline, Delena (seasons 1-3 only), Bellarke, Bella/Jacob, SSHG, Dramione, and a few others. Michael > Rafael.

The Islander is now complete with epilogue. I'm very grateful to the few readers I have for sticking it out - even though it's not my best work by any means, that story was a big part of my recovering my fictionwriting confidence (not to mention getting Wall Street out of my system for a while), and I'm now working on an original novel for the first time in nearly five years.
That said, I've also been feeling an increasing need in the last few weeks to take a step back and work on my writing in private for a while. I'm not going on hiatus again, but there are a few things I know I need to work on. I'll post any oneshots I'm able to finish. Until then, though, I'll probably be around here less.
I recently deleted 3/4 of my old Inuyasha stories, half of them because of the writing and half for questions of conscience. So, if anyone still reads Outsider or anything like that, those unfortunately will not be returning. I've never had a "popular" story on here, but I will admit deleting them still felt a bit like burning part of a diary...
