Welcome to My Crazy Life (Random Stories shared by Katie):
"Compass" - (temporary title) in progress. A series of vignettes in the aftermath of the events in Friendship Like Phosphorus. Title from the song Compass by Lady Antebellum.
"Baptism in Energon" - (temporary title) in planning. Armonie was stingy with the details of her past though it was understandable given what was known of her life before coming to the States. She fed them little tidbits, mostly little stories of her kids and husband before they died, but was reluctant to talk about her own Hunt and the trophies she wore as armor. There was a fire beneath her skin and she knew that if she told them the truth...well, then she would go back to being alone. Never alone, Mutt reminded her, nudging his head into her hip. Armonie dug her fingers into his fur and smiled.
"Words, Words, Words" - (temporary title) planning. No one wants to talk about the events of the Rogue Hunt, especially in the odd sort of happily-ever-after they all received. Grateful as they are, they can't help but feel like the other shoe is about to drop.
It's been a while, guys, sorry. I've been caught up with a bunch of different things but now I've got some free time so I'm hoping to finish up Friendship Like Phosphorus before I get caught up in NaNoWriMo writing again.
If anyone is curious, I have been participating in NaNoWriMo for the past few cycles (July and November). If anyone is curious about the other things I've written, here are the links to my NaNoWriMo profiles: November and July
Last November's submission has been published on KDP, something I'm very proud of! If you're curious, check it out here.
Thanks again to all those who have been reading and following my stories during my absence! I'm hoping to pick up the thread of the story again and at least finish FLP. If anyone is interested in acting as a beta-reader to check for my many spelling and grammar mistakes, hit me up!
