Author has written 27 stories for Bleach, Naruto, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V.
Hi! I'm Ginneke, formerly Gin no Ryuu and always just Gin.
Age: In my 20s.
Location: United Kingdom / Belgium
UPDATE as of 02-Jan-2013
For 5D's: A variety of miscellanious oneshots are still undergoing production; One multichapter work is still vaguely in the planning stage and the second of two AUs is occasionally enjoying moments of progress, though few and far between and distressingly prone to deletion.
Rising Signs unfortunately seems to have stalled again. I had some handwritten notes around the time of my last update which appear to have been lost in the move. This is why notebooks are better than loose sheets of paper...
For The Hunger Games: Sort of lost inspiration. I don't want to get involved in this fandom right now because I'm considering using the trilogy as primary texts in a dissertation, and can't go polluting my thought processes with fanon.
On the other side of things I have not been completely idle... There is one fic I recently rediscovered dating from 2009, 4 mostly-written chapters and a handful of scattered scenes, for an Okami multichapter. This fic is currently undergoing major revisions in terms of plot, pacing, and so on...
As preparation for the actual writing of this fic I am planning to undertake an informal attempt at 12_stories. Call it a test drive.
Update as of 30-Apr-2012:
Rising Signs is (maybe) back in progress.
A variety of miscellanious oneshots are undergoing production.
One multichapter work is in planning and writing processes, under the working title of World King.
One AU told in a vignette-like form branching off from the differences between S1 and S3 Security... and their methods.
Another AU featuring Aki-in-Satellite; will draw on other Satellite-themed works like Fourteen and Deconstruction.
Two ficlets set in The Hunger Games world: one regarding Katniss and Prim; the other focussing on the Avox, Lavinia.
However, as I am neck-deep in university work at the moment, these may take longer to write than I'd hope. Please be understanding of this.
When it comes to anime&manga, Yu-Gi-Oh is top of the list. I've seen most of DM but don't write for it, and 5D's in its entirety. ZeXal I watch on and off, whenever I feel like something not-so-serious. GX, on the other hand, I started and then fell prey to Youtube's purges--so while I like certain characters and would want to write them, I refuse to without knowing the source material.
Other series I like include Bleach (manga, mostly, these days) and Claymore (again, manga). I watched Cardfight! Vanguard for a bit but just didn't really get it, but I've only heard good things since then so will probably give it another try.
I do play video games from time to time, though since I don't have any consoles in my possession that gives away just how often that might be. Legend of Zelda, Okami (obsessed with this game, I tell you. obsessed.) , couple of the Final Fantasy games. At some point I want to try out Kingdom Hearts, but that could be a loooong way down the line. phoenixmiko reckons I should give Tales of Symphonia a try. Maybe, if I can get my hands on it.
Books? I lurk on the periphery of HP fandom from time to time. I don't tend to get involved with many book-based fandoms, however--I'm more likely to analyse the books instead and my attempts at fanfiction all stray towards this particular bent.
The only television programmes I watch are Doctor Who and Merlin. Though I should watch Sherlock. Again, I've heard largely good things about it.
I read Homestuck. I have written Homestuck fanfiction. I am not ashamed.
5D's: Carly, Jack, Bruno/Antinomy. Fond of Crow and Aki.
Homestuck: Aradia Megido, Kanaya Maryam, Roxy Lalonde. And Calliope. This comic just has too many wonderful ladies.
Okami: Waka (Ushiwaka), Amaterasu, Queen Himiko. On the villain side of things, Ninetails (Kyuubi). Also have a fondness for that lovable coward-to-hero Susano, and Kushi.
I've not played Okamiden myself (lacking in the DS department) but I've a feeling Kurow would leap up onto this list as well.
