Author has written 1 story for Ronin Warriors.
Every time I update this thing I think, "Surely things will start looking up soon," but all I ever seem to post is more bad news.
Life has been kicking my family hard for a few years now. This summer, it decided that kicking was too good for us and graduated to running over us with a semi two or three times over.
My father, who had just turned 65, passed away unexpectedly on July 6, 2013.
Then, on August 20th, my precious son Landen (who has been battling cancer for the last two years) relapsed for the second time. We had just begun treatment again and were aiming for a bone marrow transplant. He had two matches in the bone marrow donor registry, and the doctors said that if they didn't work out they could use me (as a half-match).
Landen passed away very suddenly on August 31, 2013, on day four of what was supposed to be five days of chemo. He would have been five years old in less than two weeks (September 12th).
Devastated does not even BEGIN to describe how I'm feeling right now.
* A Tale Untold (a Pokemon fanfic)
Oddly enough, A Tale Untold started out as a forum roleplay that went unfinished when the forum shut down. One day, a friend and I were lamenting over it's untimely demise when I suggested that the story be rewritten as a fanfic so we could give it a proper ending... and he said "DO IT." Thus, ATU is in the process of being made over fanfic-style and will eventually be posted here (after we finish it).
* Prophecy (a Ronin Warriors fanfic)
One of these days I will (hopefully) be able to put Prophecy back on my list of pet projects. The whole thing needs a major overhaul (it's just so old), but I want to prove to myself that I can finish what I started forever-and-a-half ago. Plus, I still like the story... and if I don't get on with it my muse is going to drop-kick me into the middle of next century.
I am twenty-seven years old and have been dubbed as "the Empress of Yay" by my best friend forever.
I'm a single mom and I have one extremely adorable son named Landen, who is four-years-old. He was diagnosed with CANCER (specifically, acute myeloid leukemia, or AML) when he was just two-years-old. We have spent waaaaay too much time in the hospital lately, but he's a trooper and he's doing great.
I've made a CaringBridge page for Landen (www.caringbridge.org/visit/LandenBug), if you guys want to read about his fight.
Taking a short break from the seriosity of life, I love to read. My bookshelves are overflowing with books, manga, and a handful of anime DVDs.
I also love to roleplay, although (sadly) I don't have much time for it anymore--and besides that, my best friend (and usual partner in crime) has spoiled me for roleplaying with others. One of these days the two of us are gonna break down and co-author a book or two. Lord knows, after almost a decade of crazy written adventures we certainly have enough material for it! (And damn, it's a good thing our characters aren't real or they'd have definitely murdered us by now...)
Ridiculously entertaining roleplays aside, I've been reading and writing fanfiction since I was twelve, and writing original fiction for a lot longer than that. Most of my older work is long gone, but it's still fun to read the bits and pieces that have managed to survive the trash bin (and computer crashes) over the years. Good times. XD
I am also an artist--mostly for fun, but I've started taking a few small commissions, which is pretty cool. Getting paid to do something I love is a great feeling.

If anyone wants to contact me, I can be found on deviantART (linked above) or you can hunt me down on AIM (my SN is: ladykadri). I log in to FF.NET so sporadically that any PMs I get here will probably go unnoticed for an obscene amount of time. Sorry... >_>
