Author has written 4 stories for Twilight.
So my then-11-year-old son asked for the Twilight series for Christmas, I think in an effort to pick up Twihard girls. One day on a whim and out of reading material, I grabbed Twilight and New Moon. A few days later I was re-reading the saga; a few weeks later I was fully engaged in fanfiction; a few months later I was friends with a gang of Twisluts online; a year and some months later, I was editing a favorite multi-chapter for which I started out as a "just a reviewer," pre-reading and betaing award-winning one-shots and writing my own shizzle. Obsessed doesn't even cover it, really.
I'm a Twislut, not a Twimom, but I do have three children, and I do occasionally look up from the laptop to mother them. In my early 40s, I'm trained in Journalism & Communications, English and Political Science, although I'm sure my degrees have expired by now. I went to law school, but I quit so that I could keep my soul. I spent almost 16 years as the Special Projects Manager/Office Manager/Jill of All Trades (not that kind of jillin', you dirty minds) for a custom jeweler, until the U.S. economy put an end to that situation. Right now I'm free to indulge my obsession full time, at least until my husband runs out of albums that calm him down. No worries: He has thousands.
My first attempt at fanfiction, "The Sun Came Out from the Clouds," won 1st place in the Open Voting, femmeslash portion of the 2010 In The Closet contest! Check out my prize here:
Check out my favorite authors list for some most excellent works by some most excellent friends. Nothing makes me happier than basking in the glory of others.
I have more contest entries in the works, and hopefully a multi-chapter in the pipeline very soon. Find me on Twilighted as brokendawn, and on Twitter @brokendawn5.
