I've removed some of my less-inspired one-shots from eons ago, left a few up just because they make me nostalgic even though they're not very good, and am starting some new stuff. I write mostly Naruto fanfiction (Kakashi x Iruka coupling), though I occasionally dabble in other anime categories and have the starters for some Harry Potter and Metal Gear Solid fics on my computer. I pretty much write exclusively romance fics now - usually humor. I swear, if I could be a rom-com writer, I would haha I am really bad at updating in a timely manner. In college, I took to writing personal essays and poetry more than fanfiction, and it was difficult to get back in the groove. I'm really hoping to get my Naruto fics finished. A couple of my fics may have to be abandoned, but I'm leaving them up for now, hoping that one day I'll be inspired to take them up again, like I did with Mission: Kiss Deadly. Speaking of which, Mission: Kiss Me Deadly, a Kakashi x Iruka fic is my ultimate pride and joy of fanfiction. I never dreamed in a million years that I would produce a story that received over 1,000 reviews - and it's not even finished yet! For everyone who has read it, reviewed it, followed it, and kept sending me messages to finish it even YEARS after I uploaded the last chapter, thank you so so SO much for all your enthusiasm and support! It's what's kept me coming back to this site even in adulthood, after starting here - gawd - like, back in junior high. I don't think I'll ever be too old for using fanfiction as my writing platform. It's nice to let go and let your inner fangirl out without worrying about being geeky. And it's the community that really makes it worth it. |
