Author has written 1 story for Walking Dead.
I teach ELA to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders here in Greenville, South Carolina. I teach two classes of at-risk students. I am an avid consumer of entertainment, including books, TV, movies, and gaming. I am a devoted husband and father who cherishes time with his family. I am planning on writing my first novel this summer. Unlike my main interests (sci-fi and fantasy) my novel will be realistic fiction. It is called Empire, Nevada. It tells a fictionalized account of the closing of the town Empire. Empire was built around a gypsum mine, and when the economy collapsed and construction followed afterwards, the lowered demand for sheet rock caused the mine to close, taking the town with it. They announced the closing after Christmas, but decided to keep the town open until the end of the school year to help the children with the transition. My novel is told from the perspective of one of these students.
I plan to write here to brush up on my writing more before I start writing the meat and potatoes of my novel. I have the whole story planned out and sections written, but want to wait to write it until the summer, when I will be free of the demands of my teaching job.
My interests in fan fiction include Walking Dead, Farscape, X-Files, and Game of Thrones.
Please feel free to drop me a comment or private message about my work. I am very interested in feedback, and do not shy away from negative criticism. I am looking to improve my writing as much as possible, so feel free to throw me your hardest punches. I also appreciate positive feedback as well.
