Okay, I am a horrible fic writer . . . Even worse, I am totally unreliable as a poster. We're gonna be fixin' that.

On January 15, 2012 I became a first time mommy to a beautiful baby boy whom I named Declan Matthew. He is the light of my life, my answer for every question in the universe, and the reason behind EVERY wrinkle and gray hair I will ever have *LOL* I love this kid beyond anything and he's a handful if ever there was one.

I have slowly gotten back into writing. Mostly original stuff but a few fanfictions - all oneshots or vignettes that might or might turn into something bigger. My son is now almost four years old so doesn't need my complete attention every second. Hopefully, I'll be able to tackle more creative pursuits soon.

Word of the Day Ficlets

A while back, I signed up for Webster's Word of the Day email list. I then decided to challenge myself and use those daily words as prompts for daily ficlets. These were LJ exclusive; however, I only managed to write for a few weeks before real life got in the way. Recently, I decided to resurrect the Word of the Day Ficlets and this time I'm going to be posting on both LJ and here. But first, I will be posting the ficlets produced when I initially decided upon this little project.

There's quite a few already written so it'll be awhile before I have them all posted.

Note: The Word of the Day ficlets are RAW AND UNEDITED.

Challenge Fics

A few months before her birthday in November, Emaniahilel and I made up a little private challenge in which each of us had to write 6 oneshots. I won't go into the criteria and methodology but there were quite a few requirements and limitations we put on each other.

I also took up the Advent Challenge on LJ this year and a few fics resulted from it (more fanart than fic though - see my deviant art page for the art!). I will post these up after the Word of the Day Ficlets are all posted.

Em's Birthday Fics

Emania and I are collaborators, idea-swappers, and - occassionally - fic demanders. I have offered Em fic and she has demanded fic from me. For her birthday and Christmas this past year, I finally got a few fics she's been waiting on done and delivered _ Since she has read them and given me the Em seal of approval, I will be posting these up after the WOTD and Challenge Fics are safely posted.

Other fic

I have several off-the-cuff fics that need to be posted as I've been holding onto them long enough. Here are a few teasers:

Facades (Bleach) - a little introspection piece from Orihime's pov during her stay in Hueco Mundo.

Fall Like Rain (Teen Titans) - a oneshot I wrote in the very infancy of my stint in the Teen Titans fandom. Raven-centric, Cyborg's pov.

Violet Conviction (Teen Titans) - another Raven-centric oneshot, written after I first saw Birthmark and became a TT fan.

Strands (Teen Titans) - oneshot written in response to a prompt at the Robin/Raven community on LJ . . . years ago XD

Powerless (Teen Titans) - same as above

Smut69 fics (Teen Titans) - also years ago, I took up the smut69 community challenge on LJ. I only got three fics out of it though - all Robin/Raven. These are rated MATURE FOR SEXUAL CONTENT.

A Discerning Palate aka 5 times Ren didn't bite Maki and 1 time he did (Karin - the anime) - I am insane and ship Ren/Maki. It's hot. And I wrote a six part fic just to prove it XD

Tangled Impressions (Tangled) -- a series of snapshot sized fics during random moments of the movie Tangled. There is already a bare bones version upon my LJ. Each segment will be expanded and made into separate chapters.
