Author has written 12 stories for Labyrinth, Doctor Who, and Captain Harlock.
Back in the last days of the 20th C, I was pretty active on usenet Doctor Who fandom on adwc and a in a few fanthologies, hence the age of DW stories here. (I'm not a "New Who" fan, so this section is closed to new entries - unless I feel the need for a new 4th-and-Sarah tale...!!)
All of this was over a decade ago, and I make no apologies for the 10-year case of writers' block brought on by studying Japanese in the interim and watching and reading way, waaaay too much Leijiverse material.
(Japanese has played havoc with my writing style, but hopefully no-one will hold it against me. Much! I can't pretend to any great fluency, however, unless you want to give orders on a 30th C battleship, or discuss cyborged modifications...!)
My taste for anything Japanese runs almost exclusively to 70s/80's manga and anime (and a few SF novels!) overlapping a little into the 60s and 90s - and anything related to my favourites re-done or added to in later decades. This tends to mean the entire kit and kaboodle is in Japanese because no-one bothers with the old stuff - which does make finding like minded souls difficult!
For the jaded - I don't write sappy romance, gratuitous porn, crossovers between works by different authors, or slash. So what do I write? Well, if you're just after saucy bits and get bored with actual plot, I'm not your go-to author. I write what I like to read - adult science fantasy/fiction style adventure, more character than plot driven.
The Harlock stories are all (with one frivolous exception!) sequels to the 2013 CGI film, and are all in the same continuity, drawn from the film (Japanese cut!), its novelisation, the original storyboard for said film, and a massive helping of plots, characters and anything else that feels right from all over the Harlock/GE999 'verse, both written and animated.
With effect from January 2017 (the demise of the SFFnet domain hosting my website) the Book of Taliesin stories have been restored to their original, non-fanfic versions and migrated to fictionpress, under Helen1969. These will continue with the novel length "Maskirovka" and a prequel novel "The Hunting of the Hart".
Update: June 2017 - currently revising Corpse Flower to sort out some minor inconsistencies, scientific howlers and typos that slipped through... This was a lot easier 20 years ago!! Getting old is a crock. (Just so you know: Your memory becomes utter pants, your vocabulary is apparently a fraction of what it was in your youth, your once-perfect eyesight is rubbish and we won't go into the muscle tremors which make hitting keys in the right order (if they even register at all!) somewhat problematic on a bad day... And then you find you made a totally avoidable cock-up based on an outdated model of the build up and effects of oxygen levels back in the Cambrian because all your textbooks are 20 years out of date, and at that point you rapidly lose the will to live... But hell, would anyone notice? I mean, it's not two guys snogging...)
