Background on Some of My Stories:
I have two unfinished stories list on my profile that were begun when I was in middle school and didn't have the attention span to stick with one story until it was completed. As it turns out, I also didn't plan things, as I had no idea where either of those stories were going to go. My writing has changed so much since those days, and I still don't have any idea where those stories would go. Never expect them to be finished.
Avatar: The Next Generation: This is the first finished story I have here on fanfiction.net. I started writing this when I was 14, and I didn't finish it until I was 17. At the beginning of the story, there were periods of six months between me posting chapters. However, this was the first story that I never lost my determination to finish writing it. At the beginning, all I knew was that I was going to have Azula break out of jail, which wasn't a new idea for me (see the above paragraph). I think it was around chapter five (which was at least a year into writing the story) I finally sat down and created an outline. After that, I had a better idea of where the story was going to go, but it took a little bit longer for me to start updating semi-regularly. The story has 24 chapters, and I'd say that the majority of these chapters were posted in the last year of the time I was writing this story.
I'm really proud of A:TNG because it's the first chaptered story I ever finished. That's not to say there aren't things I would go back and change. I have a lot of problems with this story, and there are times were I think I rushed things because I was anxious to get a chapter out. I should have spent more time working on this story instead of not writing for months and then quickly writing something down. Overall though, I'm proud of how this story turned out, and I'm really proud of all the characters. They were the first characters I created that were really fleshed out in a story, I think. I really enjoyed writing this story.
Life Lessons, The Fourth Hunger Games, Rebuild and Recover, and Move On and Recover: These four stories were all written for the Hunger Games 100 theme challenge. While Life Lessons was written first, it is somewhat a sequel to Rebuild and Recover and Move On and Recover. I wrote them to all be compliant with each other. (I suppose you could think the same about The Fourth Hunger Games, but it's entirely unrelated except for fandom.) Rebuild and Recover and Move On and Recover happen simultaneously, with Rebuild and Recover following Katniss and Peeta over the same time span that the other story follows Gale and Johanna. Each chapter of each story is one of the themes for the 100 theme challenge. Life Lessons is more of a chronological series of one-shots taking place over a longer period of time, the other three are full-fledged chaptered stories.
The Forever series (or my "Leah stories"): Immediately after Breaking Dawn was released, I started having so many ideas about what happened to Leah and the other characters afterwards. Leah had been one of my favorite character before, but after BD, she secured her number one spot. For years, my ideas were mulling around and changing. Within about a year of Breaking Dawn, I had a detailed idea of what I thought could happen for the first five years after BD and a vaguer idea of the years following that. The ideas are still changing a bit, but I finally sat down to put them all to paper. (Something that was long overdue.) This series is the result of that. All five stories in the series, in addition to a short one-shot epilogue, are posted.
Writing status as of February 28th, 2017:
I've begun posting a Harry Potter/Cursed Child Scorbus fic. It will be posted over the course of a few months with 26 chapters in total once it's finished. The author's note at the beginning of the first chapter explains a bit more for anyone who wants to read it.
Recently, I began writing a Hunger Games fic with Katniss and Peeta's daughter as the main character. After writing about 30k words, I stopped. I didn't like where it was going. Now I've reflected on it a bit, and I think I've figured out that problem. I had several different plot ideas while outlining, and I ended up choosing only one. After I began writing, I realized that the idea I had wasn't really enough to carry the story, but I think a combination of that idea and another plot idea I had would be. Since getting those 30k words was such a struggle, I haven't gone back to it yet, but I will be starting over from the beginning and finishing that story.
I've also written a Harry Potter one-shot in which Tonks is the main character. I'm currently editing it, and you should be seeing that long before you see the Hunger Games fic.
