Author has written 10 stories for Pokémon, Minesweeper, and Harry Potter. Contents1. A Shameless Plug About Me I begin this profile with a shameless plug for my wiki, Egopedia. I strongly encourage you to visit it, create a page on yourself (interlinking it with other people's) and spread the word. Now for some general info on myself. My screen name is actually Jedi_Amara; rejects the underscore, which I'm rather disappointed about. I'm a 16-year-old girl from Melbourne, Australia. I enjoy reading and writing; I'm also a music (especially punk genres) and anime fangirl. My favourite bands change almost daily; at the moment I'm into Silverstrand and Yellowcard. My favourite anime series is AIR TV. I won't bore you by talking about myself here, preferring to provide information on my writing - if you'd like to know more about me, hit my LiveJournal userinfo. I spend a lot of my time making websites. Here are links to a few, both personal and for fandoms: The Fanfics The fandom I write for most regularly is Pokémon. Within this category, I generally do not link my fics to canon, but there are exceptions. I am also a one-shot specialist. I consider Summer's Dying Days my best Pokémon fic - it also came second in the Melbourne Anime Festival (Manifest) 2005 fanfiction contest, and was rated a Standard of Excellence fic by Frostweaver at the Pokémon community. My other one-shots set in the Pokémon world are Ridiculous, The Prize (a Fanfic of the Week at the Pokémon Community), memory and accolade. The latter two are linked but may be read as standalone. All of these are archived here. I have two Pokémon chapter-fics in progress. The first is Pokémon Friend, my first fic, which I really need to update x_x. It's humour and has a clichéd name for a reason. Linked to this is Letters from Amy, letters written by the main character of the story. My other chapter-fic is Juxtaposition, or, Them Things That Go On Top Of Each Other, a title in the style of The Hobbit, or, There And Back Again that won't fit into the character limit allows. This is a strange mystery-type story, as much an exercise in voice as anything. On occasion, I'll reach into my other main fandom, Digimon, for a fic. I have an ongoing humorous/parody script-fic, Digimon Pataworlders, featuring the regular visitors to my website Patamon's World, which can be found on that website. I'm currently working on a full-length post-02 fanfic, which will be posted here when I've finished a chapter. Since being introduced to the Sacrifices Arc, written by the brilliant Lightning on the Wave, I've been inspired to write my own Harry Potter fanfic. After the Fall is a chapter-fic set after the fall of Voldemort. I've chosen to believe that Harry and the Dark Lord killed each other, so this fic does not feature Harry as a central character. Instead, it explores the effect of his loss and Voldemort's fall on the wizarding world, and delves into deeper secrets held by those who were around him. I do not plan to somehow revive Harry: as far as this story's concerned, he's dead, and that's that. Of course, I try not to restrict myself to certain fandoms, and possibly my most unusual fic is one for the Windows default game Minesweeper. It's set in a futuristic, dystopic world, and is simply titled Minesweeper. I think that's it from me, at least for now, so please give my fics a go and leave a review if you do. I'd like to know what people think. |
