Author has written 5 stories for Resident Evil, Fatal Frame, Prometheus, 2012, and Dishonored.
My Blog: Rantings of a Sane Mind...it's fairly new and will replace my Live Journal. I'll keep it strictly Writing Only, but that includes fanfiction, original fiction, and general writing stuff.
Also, here is my Tumblr. I'm not that active, but you can follow me anyway :)
My AO3 Account where I might be relocating and using FFnet as an archive. FFnet seems sadly, in decline. Most of the newer fandoms are larger and show more diversity in storytelling on AO3 - and there's the issue of cyber bullies here on FFnet. Unfortunately, there's not enough soap boxes to go around, and the staff has long left the building.
I'd rather post where there's a watchful eye on reviews and reviewers - even if it's only my own. At least on AO3, I can delete stupidity.
Ah, speaking of which, here's a quote from a very...special user here on FFnet. Her name isn't important, nor is her mammoth shit-pile of a profile, but one quote bears mentioning:
Hmm...*looks at TOS and Guidelines* How strange...I don't see anything in the rules that specifically states an author must follow CANON. Nothing...nothing at all. How odd. I do hope fanfic authors have the common sense to take this user's "opinion" with a grain of salt. A very large one.
Follow or don't follow canon. It's your right to be creative.
I actually got a TV Trope author rec. Go me.
My Facebook, if you want to see what I look like, and snoop through details of my sordid life. I don't post much. It's only to really keep track of wayward family members and old High School pals.
Writing wise...I've been at it a while. Taught myself and studied it for years. Experimented, played around with some styles - decided my current one suits me best. A bit of abstract, a bit of poetry, and emphasis on emotions and sensory details. Sometimes I let the more spiritual side of me sneak in, some concepts/themes that are mystical and numinous. Not a huge "tech" writer. It's one of my weaknesses. Dialogue used to be, but I think I'm getting the hang of it now.
My stories tend to be on the darker side: plenty of sex, blood, violence when it serves the plot or shapes the characters. I prefer slash to het unless intrigued by the pairing. Plot devices are fun, and putting canon characters in situations they have never faced before. I tend to favor AU - more wiggle room, but I always keep the canon accurate when possible.
Most of my stuff is WIP: I tend to write/update stories when inspired and encouraged. Keep in mind I have two jobs and a hectic life. Sometimes my updates will be sporadic.
Biggest inspirational authors to me: Stephen King, Patricia McKillip, Richard Morgan, Janet Fitch, and Donna Tartt
Disclaimer for all fanfic:
No matter what fandom I write in, all characters not my own belong to their respective owners.
All situations depicted in my stories are fictitious, and any similarities to persons living or dead is purely circumstantial...I hope.
Note: I will not be critiquing or reviewing any fanfiction, except in rare cases. This is due to the casual nature of fanfic, and my ever dwindling free time. Any writer serious about improving their craft should check out Critique Circle and submit some original work - even if you have to "change" the names in your fanfic: *cough* Fifty Shades of Gray *cough*
