Author has written 29 stories for Pokémon.
I've resumed work on Jason, my most ambitious story yet, based on the Argonauts myth but set in the Pokemon world.
You can llisten to some of my music at the Pokemon Tower ( -- click on The Media / General / Raichu) and some on youtube (www.youtube.com/user/MusicalRaichu/videos -- go to the earliest ones).
Hey Little Brother May sings complaining about her brother Max. You can listen to the music at The Pokemon Tower.
My Fiery Friend A well-known trainer reminisces about a Pokemon he parted with. You can listen to the music at youtube (/47Ec4cU9xgY).
一番 A song I wrote in Japanese (with a little help from native speakers). You can listen to the music at youtube (/bD4nAHxvC_A).
Fairy Tale: My best story so far.
Set 400 years ago, a Pokemon story told in the tradition of a fairy tale. Blurb: Ash does not get on with Prince Gary, but the king sends them together to rescue Princess Misty. Joined by Pikachu, Prince Brock and his brother Timmy, they face dangers and challenges, engage in swordfights and fistfights, and learn of life, love and friendship.
There is a map that you can find on dA (/d3dyluj) and at The Pokemon Tower (/authors/raichu/images/talemap.png).
This story received a Best In Category award at The Pokemon Tower and I have received some fantastic reviews here! Thanks, everyone!
The Beautifly Effect: Received Best-in-Category and Readers' Choice awards at The Pokemon Tower and got some great reviews here.
Goodbye, Raichu: IMHO not too bad for my first fanfic.
Ash and Nessa: A sequel to Goodbye, Raichu. Not particularly good.
The Misdreavus Menace, Part I: A sequel to Ash and Nessa. You can read it as an independent story. I think my writing was starting to improve, but I didn't get any good reviews. I might revise this one day. Part II continues from Part I. I think it's got a great plot. I'll try and finish it some day. I did plan a Part III but that's unlikely to happen.
See my other compositions at fictionpress.com (www.fictionpress.com/u/332364/Raichu2).
I also wrote two scenes of a play at The Pokemon Tower (/authors/raichu/play1.html). Unfortunately you can't post plays here. This was an experiment to show how script format can work if done properly. It won a Best In Category award.
Some comments on a few of my favourite stories here at fanfiction.net:
me and my flame by wild charizard. This was an early work that broke new ground and set a new standard. Pokemon fan fiction was never the same again. Most fanfics before that time were closely tied to the anime, and were like cartoons set to prose. This full-length novel treated Pokémon as if they were real.
Distance from Yesterday by Fish. I think I've read this story three times, and each time it has reduced me to tears.
Dreamer by McWizardX. An innovative storyline that includes many flashbacks, often of the same scene from various points of view, that slowly let you piece the plot together.
Badgequest: Hidden Machine Saga by Cyberwraith9. One of this awesome author's masterpieces.
The Myth of Shadowrun by Mystic Vaporeon, another Pokemon fan fiction pioneer. Sequel to Legends of the Tide which you should read first.
My favourite stories at the Pokemon Tower ():
Enter the Dark Mew by Diamond Eevie. An original adventure story with both exciting and comic moments, and some mysterious characters. (/authors/diamondeevie/darkmew.txt)
Dreaming by Mirei. A poignant story, unusual in that it's set in the real world. (/authors/mirei/dreaming1.html)
Pikachu by Agent 99 A wonderful rendition of Abba's Waterloo, told from Team Rocket's point of view. (/authors/agent99/pikachu.html)
Sway With Me by Ash Junior. (/authors/ashjr/swaywithme.html)
Calendar by anonymous. (/authors/anonymous/calendar.txt)
Fate's Game by E_Evee. A story of excitement, mystery and intrigue. (/authors/e_eevee.shtml
A Cleffa's Tale by Lonepichu (/authors/lonepichu/acleffastale.txt)
My favourite Pokefics on other sites.
Shrike by Dash. A story about a lanky, inexperienced youth that, with the help of a Pokémon, finds courage, faces responsibility, and... I'm not telling how it ends. Very good. (/pokemon2/shrikers)
Fair? by Lizzie Thompson. (/fair.html)
Kindness and Cruelty by an unknown author. A story about Mewtwo's origins. (/pokemon/drksideofmew2)
Emerald: A New World by JLB. Exciting and well thought out plot! (/pokemon2/pokemasterj/Emerald.html)
Here are some of my favourite "lost fics". These are stories that have disappeared from the web and are available from the web archive. Replace * with colon slash slash in the links below:
A Spearow Chirped by Jesse Jamison. Possibly the first ever Pokemon horror fic. (/web/20000608151111/http*/misc/spearow.htm)
Full Circle by Tsunade. A well written story given the early era it was written in. (/web/20011123160532/http*/general/circle.htm)
The Watcher by Fossil Magikarp. Another Pokemon horror story. (/web/20040224031629/http*/Horror/OT/watcher.htm)
A little about me
I'm a computer programmer who lives in Australia and got into the Pokemon game through one of my workmates. After listening to a copy of the 2BA Master CD, I was inspired to write my own Pokemon stories. For someone who failed high school English, I think I'm not doing too badly... But that's for you to decide, so please review, and be honest about the bad points as well as the good. After all, without feedback, how can anyone improve?
