My first introduction to fanfiction was ER back in the 90s... I've grown up a bit since then.

I've also turned into quite the Trekkie--I have my mother and husband to thank for that one. I grew up on TNG and scattered episodes of TOS and I really liked DS9, so when my husband decided it was time for me to watch Voyager I was surprisingly reticent. I thought there were already enough Star Treks and to be honest my first statement after we began watching was that I hated the sound of Kate Mulgrew's voice... But we persisted and now that voice and the actress it belongs to is one of my all time favorites and Janeway my favorite Trek character. I love her complexities and history; her strength and her sense of duty.

I do, however HATE the ending. Thus my reintroduction to fanfiction was born. You'll not find any indication of the ridiculous pairing of Chakotay and Seven in any of my stories. I loathe the horrific and absurd way the writers chose to thrust them together in a single episode after everything they'd taken almost 7 years to build up between he and the Captain. So here you'll find romance, a delving into the psychological and occasionally a little bit of action, fluff and a smattering of science (not that it's my strong suit).
