EXTENDED SUMMARIES AND OFFSITE WORK (Forgotten Realms) - Traditional Gender Roles. What does it take to be an exception in the clergy of a drow god? (Forgotten Realms) - "Remembered Realms: Graverending." Midwinter ficlet with a young Kiira on a zombie kick and a young Veldrin along for the ride. (Complete) (Forgotten Realms) – "Officer Helm." Utter crack-filk of West Side Story's "Officer Krupke," in which Cyric, Iyachtu Xvim, Selvetarm, and Vhaeraun air their Issues. Not on this site on account of being both script-format and songfic, but if that sort of thing floats your boat... go on and click that link. (Complete) (Forgotten Realms) - A Spider in Arvandor. Follow-up on the events of "For a Change." It's not always as simple as a splash of magical water. After a desperate gambit works rather too well, Selvetarm finds himself somewhere back of square one. Eilistraee hopes that she can finish what she once started, while Vhaeraun looks for an angle. Shevarash is vexed. Corellon is uncertain. And who knows just what Lolth is up to? Meanwhile, their followers deal with the fallout. Seriously AU with Sacrifice of the Widow. (Discontinued) (Forgotten Realms) - Cynosure Confidential. A collection of short fics and drabbles wherein various gods of Toril deal with their worshippers, each other, and themselves. Ranges from the dark to the ridiculous. (Forgotten Realms) - Cynosure Confidential: Top Secret. As above, but M-rated fics only. (Dangan Ronpa) - Carnivorous. AU Leon-centric fic with spoilery premise; click through to read. Warning: Numerous descriptions of rape among other things. Now with a sequel on the comfort side of hurt/comfort in progress. (Dangan Ronpa) - "Chapter One Climax Inference: Enhanced Edition." An illustrated version with art done by some awesome fellow fans I have the luck to know offline. IN THE WORKS (Forgotten Realms) - Remembered Realms. Magic returns in a Toril of the far future, and reincarnated gods start to regain the memories and powers of their old selves. These old selves are not always welcomed, especially when they start to clash. The author plays around with Clever Naming Schemes and takes on Deep Moral Conundrums. (On hiatus) (OWOD (Werewolf: the Apocalypse)) - The Wolves Eat Well This Year. The year is 1940, and the death toll of the Winter War between Finland and the Soviet Union continues to mount. In the midst of this, a lost cub in the Red Army undergoes his First Change and finds himself at the mercy of Finnish Garou, contending with a destiny he doesn’t want. (On hiatus) (DCU (Batman/The Flash)) - Where Does He Get All Those Wonderful Toys? AKA Batfamily!Trickster. AU in which, thanks to a different hiring decision by Haley's Circus, Bruce Wayne adopts a young James Jesse instead of Dick Grayson. (DCAU, with generous helpings of Flash comics canon) - The Celebrated and the Rehabilitated. Post-"A Better World." When the heroes act like villains, can the villains be heroes? The Justice Lords have vanished, but the regime they've set in place hasn't. Lisa Snart, Axel Walker, Owen Mercer, Alvin Desmond and Evan McCulloch are part of a new generation of Central City Rogues doing their best to save the world and save their loved ones. (On hiatus) (Forgotten Realms) -The Hall of Broken Mirrors. AU. In an alternate world where evil is good and lawful is chaotic, Eilistraee is a graduate of the Torquemada school of redemption. Shevarash flees elven atrocities into the loving embrace of Shar. The Dark Seldarine is a paragon of familial cooperation (with the notable exception of Eilistraee). Tymora and Beshaba do their best to keep their luck to themselves. Siamorphe advocates revolution. Jergal is a mooch, and Kelemvor Lyonsbane does what he wants even if it's knocking down the Wall of the Faithless. (In progress) (Forgotten Realms) - The Green-Eyed Brotherhood. How a priest of the Masked Lord became a priest of the Jack of the Seelie Court, and how he repaid his debts. (Forgotten Realms) - "Justice (It's Just Us)." Pre-Spellplague crackfic. Tyr kills Helm. The gods are shocked and appalled. Except Cyric, who's munching popcorn, and Shar, who's Shar. Brightwater pairs off in self-defense. Bahgtru sets out to punch reality in the face. (In revision) UNDER SEMI-SERIOUS CONSIDERATION (DCAU (Batman: the Animated Series/Justice League Unlimited)) - Daring Young Men On The Flying Trapeze. Armed with a certificate of sanity and a bindle stick, the aerialist formerly known as the Trickster goes to Gotham. Dick Grayson investigates. The Joker is out to defend his copyright, Lock-Up is out to recapture criminals he doesn’t believe have reformed (the fact that three of them got him fired has nothing to do with it), and the Rogues of Central City have long memories. (DCU (The Flash)) - "The Ballad of Barbie Allen." Snippets from Earth-11.2563, a world of somewhat more selective genderswap (and/or sexswap), centered around the home turf of the Fastest Woman Alive. (Forgotten Realms) - Shameless Wish Fulfillment. AU. Vhaeraun kills Lolth, takes her throne, inherits Selvetarm's leash, and sets about fulfilling his campaign promises. (Forgotten Realms) - "Let's Get Together." AU. In a timeline with a bit less god-chopping, Vhaeraun and Eilistraee reluctantly team up for great justice. Hilarity ensues. (Forgotten Realms) - "Gray Light." Two dead warriors, one dead spouse, two dead children, and orientation in the City of Judgment. Ryld Argith and Sorrell Ilithaine are both far past the point of worrying about angering their gods. (Forgotten Realms) - "Small Mercies." Two followers of Shevarash do their best to keep pinging on a Detect Good spell in the face of theological-ethical conundrum. One of their "beneficiaries" is not in the least impressed. (Forgotten Realms) - "I Am Redeemed (Am I?)." Years after a former Matron Mother chose Eilistraee's song, an unexpected encounter with her ex-patron and the children she thought lost leads her to attempt to make amends on a more personal level. (Forgotten Realms) - "Shield Companions." AU with the end of Sacrifice of the Widow. Garagos finds Selvetarm's blood running down the World Tree. Hilarity and sava-game-crashing ensues. (Dragon Age) Shameless Wish-Fulfillment (DA:O Edition), or, To Serve Man (Well Done). Various overly-optimistic adventures of Alim Surana: child of the Highever alienage, spirit healer, arcane warrior, Teyrn of Gwaren, Arl of Amaranthine, Warden-Commander of Ferelden. Surana/non-Warden Tabris/Zevran/Leliana. (Forgotten Realms/Dragon Age) - Anders is a bitter Rashemi exile with a cat familiar. Fenris is a bitter half-drow with a Red Wizard of Thay in pursuit. Merrill is a wide-eyed warlock with an artifact salvaged from Myth Drannor. Isabela is a Calishite corsair with no pants. They fight Zhents. (Dragon Age) - "Fenris and Tir." Shameless apostate Tir Hawke was named after the Hero of River Dane in a somewhat more creative fashion than most. Now it's a question of whether his fractious relationship with Fenris will end up with a red ribbon and/or a missing hand. (OWOD (Werewolf: the Apocalypse)) - "Footprints in the Snow." Set after the unwritten end of The Wolves Eat Well This Year. Prince Konstantin Volkovsky, in quiet withdrawal guarding a remote caern, meets his Garou grandson and dredges up distant memories of pre-revolutionary nostalgia. (Dangan Ronpa/Puella Magi Madoka Magica) "Puer Magi Makoto Magica." Makoto Naegi's still deciding on the wish for his contract when he accompanies an outrageous group of Magical Girls and Boys and their adorable mascot in a tenuous alliance to take down the most powerful witch they've ever seen. (Dangan Ronpa) Leon Kuwata, SHSL Literary Guy, would like nothing better than to pitch the lead character of his bestselling series off a waterfall. (Dangan Ronpa/The Hunger Games) - "I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire." For a minute it seemed like the Naegi family of Prefecture Six had the worst luck in all the nation. But now Makoto Naegi's headed for the 74th Annual Hunger Games with the mysterious girl who volunteered to take his little sister's place, trying to stay optimistic as they get ready to fight for their survival in a year where the Career prefectures have sent in a crop of prodigies. (Dangan Ronpa) - "Ragnarok Mountain." In a remote facility known as Hope's Peak, scientists work to awaken and exploit the latent powers of the best and brightest youth of the country, who they've abducted and held captive with impunity. They didn't count on being invaded by the ones who got away. While I maintain that none of the stories below should be enough to make the unprepared scream and run and the knowledgeable have aneurysms, be aware that even if you like certain of my fics, you may (and probably will) find others completely putrid and an affront to all good and canon in the world. Writing for years tends to result in changes - at least, I hope I've changed. Same generally applies if you happen to run across any particularly idiotic reviews I've made. |
